OK folks, to come up with some more figure work here (hell, all of you do more or less machines, where are the figures? Terry is the only doing some, so how could I resist to show something a bit new?). This is a Borg. On a technical Base. The Borg itself was sculpted over a Preiser Adam figure and is in the "overcrusting" stadium. I have to add tons of cables (which will be done using Plus model Lead wire in 0,2mm) and some more technical gizmos). Missing are his arms. One of them will be a mechanical add on. The Base is completely from scratch using Evergreen stripes and parts from the spare box. I am not quite satisfied with the backside, it looks a bit done without a real concept. The goal was to create a busy looking machinery area, with cables galore and some pipes and electonic stuff, but it does not look the way it should. I think, some overhauling would be the game here.
Pics are here tomorrow. Have to make them and post soon.
Cheers,
Frank

Yeah, I know, but figures are really underrepresented in the SF forum. We will change this in the coming months! So, here are pics of Base and Borg. The Base needs more detailing and battle damage work, the borg misses his arms, shoes and detailing, but I think, it is visible where I will go. Painjob will be done in a pale white/grey/blueish tones for the flesh, and black/brown tones for the rest. But I am not quite satisfied with the back of the base, here is some thinking nessessary how to alter or overwork it. It is all in scale 1:32, full scratch from Evergreen, parts from the sparebox, magic sculpt and gizmos. Frank

Lucas, yep, this technical stuff is really good to do (have collected tons of kits for kitbashing puproses, evergreen parts and superdetail sets galore. You never know when you need it!) Todd: Thans Bro! I think, the backside of the base needs a little overhaul because I think it lacks realism. The arrangement of details seems to random for my eye. I have to think about it... Leon: Thanks a lot! Glad you like it! Sometimes I think I do too much on the detailing front, but on the other hand, you cannot do enought!

Interesting thoughts, Deafy, maybe we both should stick togerther and discuss a bit the pros and cons of looking like a Borg...
But you laugh, there is a Hornet head looking like me. Have seen it in a sculpted figure of a french or belgian sculptor who did a fantastic figure out of it, but SADLY have no pics of it on my desk. This is really depressing, imagine a model kit of you!
Thanks for the compliments. I will do my best to go on that way.
