Attention to the track details will pay off in the end Mark! Just keep telling yourself that and you'll be fine.

Thanks guys I know it's a high figure count but I think it'll look good unless I go crazy painting them Got some dirt/dust effects on the 48 and 132 006 by Mark Hartig, on Flickr 009 by Mark Hartig, on Flickr 011 by Mark Hartig, on Flickr 013 by Mark Hartig, on Flickr I may leave them as is, will look at them tomorrow and regroup. In the meantime all comments and observations are welcome. This translates to "If you see something I've missed please say so" Regards, Mark

Looking good Mark! Only that that jumps out at me is the 2nd from the front roadwheel on the 113's right side. Looks like some paint might have lifted in a couple spots?

Figures look good from here Mark! I'm not that familiar with the Vietnam bucket variants, is that rectangular barrel for a flamethrower?

Thanks Leon, Wes Thanks Bill and yes that's a depiction of an M-132 Flame Track, sometimes called a Zippo. They carried enough napalm for a 32 second sustained squirt if I recall correctly. There weren't a whole lot of them incountry but those that were there got used a fair amount. Since these were the days of dawning political correctness the existence of the 132's and M-67's (M-48 flamethrower variant) was not widely advertised 'cause we were the good guys who'd not use such awful things. Oh yeah the rectangular thing is the flamethrower barrel Regards, Mark www.ichiban1.org/html/cs_flame.htm

That's kind of what I figured. Interesting history on that particular vehicle! Flamethrowers are nasty but effective...definitely wouldn't want to be on the receiving end.

Yessir Bill that could ruin one's weekend Things are dragging along slowly; waiting for the UPS man which should be over shortly. Even so, a proof of life pic 002 by Mark Hartig, on Flickr Got the base to 1st coat of paint anyway. When UPS visits I will have the material to get some significant progress going Regards, Mark

Looks like you've got plenty of room to populate this one with the gang you've got planned Mark. Here's hoping the UPS guys are a little more efficient than usual.

Thanks gents So the UPS guy arrived and guess what, no grass tufts or mats, all on backorder. Therefore since no one on the planet seems to have such things in stock, I went to Harbor Freight, spent ten bucks and made one of T's static grass applicators. 006 by Mark Hartig, on Flickr I can still get static grass at the LHS. Here's how the job turned out 005 by Mark Hartig, on Flickr 004 by Mark Hartig, on Flickr It ain't perfect but I'm still rather tickled with the way it came out. I may upgrade the applicator to a nine volt battery just to see if it makes any difference. Take that, scenic express Regards, Mark
