The guys here are always good for some surprise, and this thing here is nothing different: www.planetfigure.com/threads/new-release-of-trgger-in-nutsplanet-of-june.71614/BUT, a big but from me: First, what do you think of this kind of figure? At first glimpse, I love it. Than I stopped and started thinking (yeah, brain work should be done BEFORE you grib your brush and start drooling) and my thoughts are a bit different. We all love detailed figures with good anatomy and tons of details (where they belong and what might look cool). At this figure here I have a different feeling. I looks to me that every square inch of it is overloaded with details (look at the weapon!), if they make sense or not, the sculptor detailed the hell out of it. I think, especially here, less would be a little bit more. Don´t ask me why I think so, but the new sculpting technics have no limits, but it is ok to go "over" them? A figure detailed this way is not as realistic as it would look like a bit toned down, a bit "more less" when you get what I want to say. I am mucho curious about your thoughts, gents! Frank

Definitely increases the surface area and detail level, but I imagine it would pose some interesting challenges to deal with all of those pointed, raised, and recessed areas properly to get it all to look right depth-wise. That's just my idle speculation as a casual observer since I'm not a figure painter, but if you can pull it off I bet it will create an impressive result.

Overengineering figures/busts/... is always a "love it or leave it" thing. The figure itself looks like a Games workshop Space Marine, if you ask me. One of Nuts Plantets figures that I most probably do NOT buy.

Wbill, sure, absolute. Does not depend on WHICH figure you paint, handling the paintjob is the question. I personally love any figure, but it must look "realistic" in design and anatomy. This figure here is too overload for me (hell, what a mess when he tries to enter a room and got stuck in the door because of all those spikes!) that even the best possible paintjob cannot help (all this is in my eyes of cause!) Impressive? Yes, without a doubt, but cool anyway? I think, no.
Lucas, count me in. This fig is nothing for me, too! Very sad, cause I love Space Marines, even in heavy combat suits but our little friend here is too much.
