feel a bit of an intruder over here, i,ve been roped into building a wingy thingy for our club show in august,we are all doing a ww1 plane. i've chosen this one as it looks nice and simple, and should stand out in the stripe scheme, never built a plane before, but must admit after opening the box i'am looking forward to it, any tips or advice would be much appreciated, here goes !!!!!!!

Looks like it should go together fairly quickly! Aside from the stripes pattern, the only other potential complication would be if you're planning to do the rigging or not. Couple different ways you can skin that kit depending on how far you want to go with it.

I'am not going overboard on this but i want it to look "right"

I'd recommend using something like EZ-Line for the rigging. Either that or stretched sprue seems to be the most popular methods without going real crazy with scale turnbuckles and other similar kinds of hardware.

Looking good with the stripes on. That much masking would drive me even further over the edge for sure.

The EZ line only comes in 2 different sizes. Fine (0.25mm) and Heavy (0.5mm). You definitely want the Fine for this little guy. HTH!

Loving it already! Can't believe those people really had their planes painted that way... Relatively slow speed meant that the schemes were more about making it harder to aim than true 'camo' as we know it Andy!
