Mmmm, fun in the woods! I'm reading "Team Yankee" for about the 15th time, getting the itch to pull an Abrams off the hanger queen rack.

Hi guys ! Been busy with house projects but here's some pics of previouse work . Russ I looked up that book , Good story subject to go along with this build . Anthony I havent built the AIM kit . There's some nice detail in this kit . I've had trouble with the fit on the hull and the turret basket is a bit fiddly to assemble and get it straight .Of course as per usual DML the instructions leave you scratching your head . I needed research to find the proper location of some parts . It took a rediculouse amount of clamping to get thihgs to fit . Unknowingly this led to a warpd hull that didnt show up till later . Ugly seem on the side . Its a poor fit back here . There's about 8 panels involved in the rear deck.

Almost looks like an Orange Box type of arrangement with all those gaps and fit issues Carl. Looks like it might put up more of a fight but you've got the clamps to deal with it!

Let's just say that there's a reason that Orange Box releases are labeled as 'value' offerings. Having to level the turret ring is a first to see for me as well...but your solution seems to have prevented any unwanted wobbling.

Bill I'm not happy about having to do that . This wasnt an inexpensive kit and I had expected better quality . Leon it looks good but its whats underneath that bothers me . Oh well ....onto the next steps . The Crows is on .

Warped parts in a brand-new kit tooling? That doesn't sound good.

Are they willing to replace the nasty bits? You'd think that quality control had to have missed something along the line with this one!
