Finishing... Today's breakfast. No, I didn't use the coffee as patina From below Preparing the number mask. The original is named 1506. Since I did not build the original, but there are slightliy different ships with different numbers in the picture, mine is called 1804 (April, 18th is my birth date). The lower cables. I'll post some studio pics tomorrow, so stay tuned

Ha ha ha. That is a dangerous game you play there my friend. That coffee is way too close to your brush wash How many times have I dipped my brush in a brew or gone to drink the wrong cup! Regards, Brett

This thing is crazy!
Any thoughts as to how you will display it? It seems like it's getting near to done.

Pleased to read this The ship is made for vitrine display at home, with two variations: a) stands alone on three points without base (until the next earthquake) for small shelfes, b) can hang on a high pole, kinda fuel scene, needs a higher shelf. More on this later. I already took some photos of the finished ship (standalone version), coming soon.

I don't know why I didn't spot this thread before - but boy am I glad I did!!! Utterly impressed by your creativity, building and painting skills...words fail me - I'll have to go and lie down in a dark room to recover now. Karma plus 1!!!
