the hinge is for the stowage bins on the side of the m1a1 turret... these are very long. i have to roll these small pieces around some 0.3 mm wire... would that be possible with the etch mate?

howdy shay... things slowing down right now... end of the year is coming and as always there is so much still to do... putting it onto the todo list for 2016... ;-)
i think i will spend more time modeling again... as i said that damn first hinge pissed me off that much, that i always walked around the workbench.. :-) and i didn't want to start another building site or step to another step in the build...
but i want to do more custom figure stuff... i already got me some magic sculp and some plastic figures to try out... :-)
i read you did some stunts in the air??? ;-)

Your patience paid off on the hinge Olly! Always a good thing to step away from the bench when things aren't going right.

Nice progress on the metal work. Definitely an improvement over the kit parts.

Nice progress on the metal work. Definitely an improvement over the kit parts. absolutly... With the stowage bin i am unsure, i have to compare it with the plastic parts... But for what price... The price of sanity... But i got some really heavy gain in soldering PE experience

Very, very impressive results on the bins. They look great from here. Will you be filling the bins up with fun Christmas presents for yourself ? ---never mind

Yap the bins finally look netter than the plastic parts. But AS i said, they cost me some of my sanity... In fact i still have the m1a2sep with the big tusk PE set from Voyager in my stash... Some future nightmare when i think there are these bins to do again... But it is it worth definetly... I hope to show you the completed turret witk all the PE added after the holidays... So Brothers, have all some nice xmas...

On some Facebook Page someone pointed me to some false positioning in height of the bin. Fortunately i didn't use so much ca glue and the bin popped off with some minor discussion... ;-)
Lesson learned, when using Kit parts as templates, first check if Kit part is the end measurement... :-)
