Evenin All, Returned from England on Sunday at 4pm into Miami. Had a great vacation in England, a week is never enough but i got to spend some quality time with my sick step father. A sad visit but a very rewarding one. ;D Whilst i was home a met up with two young fellows from MSC, we spent a wonderful afternoon talking plastic and drinking Guiness. It was great to finally meet some people through these great websites we visit. Thank you, Dicky and Chris for a very entertaining afternoon. If you have the chance to meet up with fellow modellers from these web sites i urge you to do it. It was great to put a face and personallity to someone i had only 'talked' to through the internet. Only started back on the MK.1 on Wednesday night suffering from chronic jet lag. This is getting faster and faster folks soooooooo, The louder you screem the faster we go, As they would say at a fun fair in England in the 80's. God I'm old. ;D But , AnyHoo,......... Even though i had made the radar array for the undrside it just seemed to be to big and looked a little out of place and a bit shyte to be honest with everything else so i cut it from this. To this.... Gave it a layer of flat black Chrome silver with a splash of Gun metal Pastel wash. Started work on the belts. Dry fit Kiko in his seat then stated fitting Masking tape belts. Waist band. Shoulder straps and buckles Gave Kiko his joysticks Right.... Left.... And his ciggie, Yes, the kit came with one but i scratch built my own 8) from a white piece of styrene with a dab of red sharpie on the end I then taped her down to fit the final light set up Fit all my flashers and constant LEDS to the right fiber optics and bingo. (took me 5 hours and I melted most of my firer optics gave up on several indeas i had but it looks OK. I think..... Made a video because the pictures don't show the flashing www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjXqvErKxaY&feature=c4-overview&list=UUHiAjjyN8V35Dg2k-4Fcx1QThen i moved on to the hitch assenbly I them installed the moveble stearing thruaters Hitch support cradle Wound my hydraulic fittings Fitted my cables to the cradle Added some details and paint Ready to install. Back to the hitch assemblies i painted 5 months ago Fitter the outer ram assemblies and upper arms Everything pinned. Beauty shorts for the evening Now i have to weather the whole thing. This is gunna go fast people " SO STAY TUNED" Gag Peace..... OUT

Evenin All, Well after 377 posts and 5837 views i think i'm finally there. I've had such fun building this thing for the last 1 year and 11 months, and its been great to have you guys along for the ride. So these are the finishing touches. Attached some hydralic links Gave everything a black pastel wash then hit it with AK products. I then hit the main engine vector thrust flaps with some flat black on the outside edges. I then installed the main engines in the fairings The back finished. I then messed about with some more lights for around the Airlock and in the back by the hitch assembly, It just looked so dark. I didn't take any pictures of the process i just did it quick using cheap battery powered LED lights from the supermarket, $5;99 for two clusters of three LEDs, with microswitch and battery link up. Ten minutes of soldering and Bingo. Then I moved everything into the dinning room for some final pictures. Flaps up, And down. Underside, Airlock with new lights and rear docking Vector thrusters, Main Engine Nose detail Top view. 'Kiko' I will try to take some better pictures but its so bloomin big. (that's what she said) I thank you for your support, it has been very much appreciated. Take care See you soon............ Gagsterman Over and Out.

Ditto to the Great Nemo's comments Tony! Definitely been fun following along with this one and it has turned out a real beauty in the end. The lighting is a great touch. The ultimate question of course is....what's next?

Nemo said it perfectly! I can't say it any better. Listen... you have to enter it into MoM... it would be great if a Sci-Fi wins especially your build.

Sweet Jesus! I go away for a while, and look what happens when I'm back!!! A) I sure hope this goes into the "model of the month"! Is there "model of the year"? B) I also hope you're able to maneuver this beast around well enough to take it to some shows...IPMS Nationals would be a good start. C) Ferkin' amazing (using Dicky's parlance)!

Well Tony, I have been following this build from the start, and I have to say it has been one of the most enjoyable, entertaining and simply awe inspiring builds I have ever followed!! I think that pretty much all of the appropriate superlatives have been flogged to death, so I will just say FLIPPIN' HECK!!! Absolutely incredible from start to mind blowing finish! Well done good sir! Cheers, Sam

Really don't know what I can write that would do this build justice, I have thoroughly enjoyed following this mad, brave and totally inspiring build from the word go and to see how it's ended up is hardly believable.
I shall be sad now for one of my favourite blogs is at an end but what an end it is!!
Very well done Tony, incredible result.

Wow and double wow,how on earth did I miss this.I only saw it in this month's mom.I instantly thought look at this and showed my wife and son. They thought it was awsome as well but when I clicked on the link and seen it was a scratch build I fell on the floor. This is amongst the best modelling I have ever seen. This should be sent to a company for reproducing it in kit form.It would fare well for a film company aswel. Sorry I never saw this before.Man there is some serious talent on this site. Glad I got my dio in last month's MOM.I wouldn't have stood a chance against that thing. Excellent.

Masterful, imaginative and well executed vision on plastic! Extreme modeling at its finest without a doubt, the best example of craftsmanship and the best spaceship I have ever seen to date. I hope to see more of this kind of work from you here again. Completely and totally inspirational . . .

Hello everyone, I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has visited and commented on this build over the last two years. Your comments have always been very positive and encouraging so thank's guys, i don't think it would of been so much fun without you all along for the ride. It was very cool to be able to share my journey with so many people around the world thru the Interwebs. I haven't been on the site that much lately as i got a bit burned out at the end and was just relieved to of finished the MK.1, i needed a few weeks off. That was until this weekend when i went to IPMS Orlando's Modelpoluza 2013. I received lots of positive feedback from lots of people which was very nice, Plus, I won a Silver medal ;D Please excuse the ugly mug, it's the only one i got It was my first ever competition and i really enjoyed the weekend. I am going to put all my other Poluza pictures over in the Show Photos thread now, there will also be some video later in the week. So..................what to do next, what to do what to do? Huuummmmm. I have a few ideas So, stay tuned folks........ Take care and thanks again everyone Gag
