Dicky - First....Thank you for the complements!!! I am happy you are enjoying this. The "question"....you are 100% correct on you thinking Sir! A normal course of events would have been to seal the vehicle apply decs and/or ID markings and then seal again and then weather! With that said LOL !!!! Since when have I followed the rules? I will have another update a bit later, that may make things a little clearer! ;D

Always neat to see the different layers and tones come together in the weathering stage. The acrylic washes are producing some nice effects T!

Todd - that looks AWESOME! I dug through my Photobucket account hoping that I had a shot of my 25 pounder that came in the same box so you could tow it...but no luck. May be time to take one of the old girl. Shoot, may be time for me to build the Quad Tractor, too!

Thank you Marc...always good to see a build with some dressing on!! Thanks John...appreciate the comments!! ;D Thanks Bill!! The acrylic washes are interesting and nice in there own respects. Just another tool in the chest!!! It was nice to move from Acrylic paint to a seal to acrylic washes and then to some enamel AK stuff...all in an early evening!! ;D Thanks Chris!! Glad to see you break away for you schedule!! Thanks for the kindness!!! All about the fun!!! Thank you 57!!! The encouragement helps a bunch!!! Thank Boots!! Most appreciated!! Funny how the oddballs can be the fun ones!! Also funny how it's not Chris's fault as much anymore....but I suppose that is his fault too!!! Thank you Dupes!!! LOL...Have at it Sir!!! Add it with this and ER's and it's like a mini Quad GB!! Never realized how well it would have worked for a GB...cheap, quick and fun!!! OK.....yet another update!!!! I am close...promise!!! I went ahead and attacked some marking. jackwagon, this answers the question earlier.... I wanted to paint the marking on this time. I wanted them to somewhat look "fresher" but that didn't quite happen but still works...so far. So, I added the markings...well, I think I am done with them. Chipped back these a bit to add some flair. Popped in the windows. Have to say that so far these are the only part of this that I am not a big fan of...but they work just the same. Afterwards I added a light layer of dust for starters down low, using some AK Afrika Dust Effects. Oh yeah...excuse the headlights...Krystal Klear is still drying, hence the white glue-like substance. Yes, I went there!! British truck, German service. I have a excellent book on these called British Military Trucks in Wehrmacht Service which I did a review for over on Armorama: HERE if your interested! After reading through the book, I learned that after these vehicles were seized the soldiers often quickly added markings by hand painting numbers as well as the Balkenkreuz with paintbrushes and sometimes they used templates. Even some of these retained their British markings and no German identification at all. So with that, I will be adding a little more dust and then make up a small base for it, maybe with a figure. As always, thank you for dropping by for a spell!!!

The coolness factor just increased exponentially! Nice Germanization there T...and you're right about captured vehicles in the desert campaigns...motorized transport was highly prized by both sides as it could literally mean the difference between life and death (or worse, capture!) because of the harsh climate and terrain.

Hi Bill!!! Thanks for the kind words!! The NA German army, well I guess in all theaters, they really liked the British trucks. They were more reliable and easier to fix too at least from what I was reading. Also it's like having a whole bunch of "what if" projects at your fingertips!!! ;D Hey Chris!! Thank you Sir!! Something a little different I guess!!!

Getting better and better all the time mate, really good idea to go with a captured vehicle. Although i disagree with you on the reliability...no good British vehicle would ever serve with the sausage eaters ;D It would do it's best to break down at the first possible moment....or was that only the case when the Brits drove them Regards from the Swamp Eth

Thanks ER!! Looking froward to seeing your get into some paint!! MM would be cool too!! Thank you Luigi!! Yup, a stencil. Actually got one like a prize in a cereal box when I picked up a resin Cromwell kit at a show! Figured I would git a ride!! Thank you Eth! LOL..could be the case that they broke down, might be one reason as to the thousands and thousands of these little buggers getting into the hands of the enemy...maybe it was a failed attempt for of sabotage..... ;D
