:oT, sorry my good friend for dropping by so late in the paint and weathering process, I had a very busy weekend... What a progress !!! And what a result !!! This is defo one of the best Quads I've ever seen ! Good to go for a Beute, the yellow is perfect as a platform for your weathering skills !

Always something "cooking" ER!! LOL!! Thanks Carl! - Thought about building a boat to sail the piece over to him!! Unfortunately it would take too long and would like this one in the gallery before the end of the year!! Plus, I am sure they would try to figure out some new way in taxing us both for trying!! Hi G!! No worries!! Glad to see you were busy all weekend and not just sleeping!! ;D Thank you very much for that compliment!! Desert colors are nice to work with!!! Worked a little more on the fig last night amongst some of the L/70...hoping to have most of this stuff getting close to the finish line soon!!

Hi ER - Hope to have a small update soon, if not tonight! The headlights dried out....finally and I have the figure close to done....keep an eye open!! Hi Mike!! Thanks for taking the time to swing by and join in!! Also for not beating me up on the S&B!! ;D Says a couple things I think...basically taking a couple days to slap things around with little effort...mainly because of the kit...S&B applies!! Second side to this is that beating someone up over what is basically a fact just won't happen in MSC Land!! Actually a coveted phrase!!! If it builds up nice and even more so quick (for the lover of the painting and weathering.... ....myself) this is a bonus!!! You are not wrong when it comes to the "primer stage"....love this part almost as much as seeing the weathering...more or less the same reasons...just a nice, clean, crisp look at the model and all it's details!!! Plus I know what comes next!!! Thank for the kind words!!! They were most appreciated and encouraging!!!

WOW, That wasn't too smart on Andy's part...I am confident you may have found you way over on your own...but keep the cash...what he don't know won't hurt him....most of the time anyway!!! LRDG....very cool looking truck there!!! Desert? Some nice weathering to be had!!! Count me in on that one!!! OK, after running around tonight doing the kid shuffle...B-ball practice!! I decided to toss up a couple pics of where this is. The fig! Now what I am thinking...simple, but effective! Now onto some base stuff. Now I have not actually dug into anything but figured I would share something. Sometimes things present themselves when least expected. In the past I have...umm...used an award plaque for a base for another model....hey, I am not the only one ya know!! LOL!!! Anywho, my daughter remembered this and whilst at school the other day, the band director was packing up everything for a giant move to a brand new school next door and asked if anyone wanted some old contest plaques.....The good girl that she is, she brought me some!!! These are great if you run across them at a yard sale or if a friend is tossing them out. Pop off all the plates and decorative plastic thingies.... Voila....a nice start to a base for this one I think....did I mention it was free? LOL Thanks for stopping by and hanging out for a bit!!

WOW! Can't complain about those free bases. You have saved nearly $8 each plus no labor staining the bases. You are lucky to have a very thoughtful daughter. Just realized our office has many old plaques too. LOLOLOL
Nice work on the figure too!!!
p.s. Trust me I didn't pay Mike to stop by MSC... I offered him buffalo wings and beer next time I visit him in NY. Sounds better, huh? LOL

Thanks spud!! Always a good thing saving a buck and some labor!!! Thanks Andy!! LOL...They might not even miss the wall dressings!!! You can pick up an old Twisted Sister Poster and hang it in their place!! Figured it was the wings and beer (lol...seen that post a while back) Buffalo ain't that far brotha'!! I'm just saying!!! Maybe make the trip around late next September....AMPS EAST....big show....couple days of mayhem and good times!!! Not that far from there...in retrospect anyway!! ;D

LOL about Twisted Sisters poster. Actually there's a pile of plaques stored in a box... I will ask my manager about them later this week. If you ever go to Buffalo, you have to eat at this place... Duff's. www.duffsfamouswings.ca/content/home/home.htmlI visit my parents and family every summer and it is a personal rule that we must eat there every time we are in town.

You've trained up your daughter right T! Nothing like the use of found materials to further the hobby and I'm sure those awards will make much better dio bases. Can't beat that! Nice job on the figure so far, he's a good match with the captured Quad.
