Carl-I looked at this and just had to have a beer. Bill- The dunes are my back yard............. Luigi- This has become quite a fun build. Again I am pushing my personal envelope trying new things. CeeBee- Thank you sir! I used some greatly thinned Tamiya that I mixed for the PzI build and fogged it on the M3. Almost there now. G

Thank you all! This requires several drinks to quench the thirst!
Kenny I sprayed a heavily thinned Tamiya Buff/Deck tan mixture. Therein lies the conundrum. How do you preserve all that meticulous detailing previously accomplished?

Packer: Like the G-man said you thin the color at least 90% leaving you with just a hint of color. When you apply it you're don't spray your model like you're applying a coat of paint but dust it on. Spray from farther back than you normally would. Lightly spray the model,it may not even look like you laid down any color, let it dry or flash off as they call it. Spray another light coating and let it flash off. You can keep doing this until the effect you're looking for appears. Layering is the key with dusting. The same applies for a color blend coat. After you've got your camo applied to blend the color you thin your base color 90% and dust it on the same as the above technique. G-man: When you are weathering your model you're applying it as a natural progression of the elements. In your case the dust goes on last which settles on the surface and more so in the seams and cracks. Enough of your washes will peak through here and there for the illusion that your minds eye would expect to see in nature. Did I shine any light on your conundrum? Tony lee

Therein lies the conundrum. How do you preserve all that meticulous detailing previously accomplished? G Looking good G, Looking Damn good! AS to the question of covering previous steps. I read an article by Ken Abrams where he talked about going back and forth. This is something I do my self. say for example you covered some pin washes with a dust coat, there is nothing wrong with going back and touching up the pin wash. You can go back and forth with variuos effects until you have reached satisfactory results. Keep pushing that envelope man because I do like what I'm seeing!

Thank you gentlemen!
The dust was sprayed and now I'll begin to finish this. I am adding a crew figure and calling her done. I started having too much fun with my Pz I to stop.
