Can't argue with that, pretty neat work there on the pattern Marc. Especially since it's 1/48.

Hi Dan, thanks for stopping in and for the comments. Fighting a bad cold and really dragging my rather ample butt by the end of the day and find it tough to move those 4 feet from couch to bench. After the base camo, I applied a few coats of a buff filter thinned about 95% to fade and unify the colors. The decals were a nightmare. Thank heavens there were only a few. No problem with the crosses but the 311 were individual and each shattered like glass. I got lucky with the one you can see and got the 9 or 10 piece back together nicely. I did on the other side too but they shifted with the setting solution needed to get them to settle into the zim. A dot filter A bit more fading with a dot filter then went back with some green and rust oils and brought out the color with some variation in each section. Doesn't show in the pics. Then lastly, so far, washes. Lots and lots of what Mig called "stumping" to get all the excess wash blended.

Looks great despite your decal woes! Always amazing to me how much different (better) roadwheels look after a solid washing.

Hope you feel 100% better soon! Love when filter does its job blending the camo altogether...

Thanks guys. I agree about the washes. The difference in the way the details pop out is really amazing.

Looks great Wingy!
You know that's supposed to be 211, not 311, right? (lol)

Marc, this must be like Playboy to you. Are you just looking at the pictures? Hahahaha...pretty close! No, I was just trying to start in on the inevitable rivet counting that is sure to come up somewhere when you least expect it. Was posting from my phone but forgot the shortcut to properly insert the "rolling on the floor" emoticon.
