Hey guys! Just about time to get the benches fired up for this group build!! My offering to the cause is actually going to be a little queen I had sitting around for a while now. The timing was perfect as I was talking with a friend who was in a bind needing a T34 built for something...voila!! The build is from Dragon Models OT34/76 Mod. 1943 (No.112 Factory)kit The last time this seen the light of day it looked a little something like this.... I will revisit the scene a bit and need to finish some minor detailing....add some stowage and I can open some paint!!

Is it going to be a beautiful Panzer or a Beutepanzer?

Thanks Fellas! Appreciate you stopping in and for the kind words!! Hoping I won't screw this up too much before I am done!! I managed to find a suitable base frame...Walmart...LOL!! Gut the foam and voila! Also bang out out some of the leftover add on pieces. I still have a couple more, but need to play the manipulation game with them first. So with that, here is what I got...and I just tossed the goodies around, hopefully a more thoughtful placement will issue at a later date. Next stop is a little priming and trying to get something started for the base effects...maybe a mix of mud and cobblestone type stuff...will have a thought on this while I prime!!

Hey Everybody, Time for a quick update from the bench! Seems I got inundated with several little projects PC, Model and otherwise in the past couple days...lol! Par for the course I suppose! Anyway, I wanted to toss up a couple pics of where things are at. Items were prepped for the priming an painting stages... I was able to sling some paint along the way as well! The little sidekick of a truck received a little primer.... and then I worked on the bed and cab areas... Of course this is still early in the game as there is plenty of weathering to be done. The pigments will come off the chain soon and have a chance to play. All of the stowage has been prepped and ready for color soon too... The base received a little black to seal things up too. Finally, the first stage of many painting steps has been completed on the T-34. Just waiting for the clear coat to cure so I can move on... Okay....I have been told I need to go out an buy a new shirt for a wedding we are going to this weekend!! Looks like bench time will come to a standstill for a couple days soon! LOL!! Thanks for taking the time to drop by!!

Nice work Toddmeister! Have fun at the wedding, try to leave early before the traditional fight breaks out rofl-roll or is that just the weddings I've been to?

Thanks Dierk!! LOL...I have been to a couple that went off the rails! Hoping this is not one! Sad reality of his is I "have to" go. This is my wife's brother...but if you add what this will cost me just to attend, I would be happier taking the wife and kids all to Cape Cod for the week instead!

Weddings? New shirts? I don't see any of that being used on this build. You've got to get your priorities in order mister! Making good progress as to be expected here Todd.

Thanks Leon! As for the wedding...I will give it a shot! Thanks Bill! LOL...yeah, priorites are just one thing I need to get in order! Working on it!! Thanks Tobias! A bit more now! Thanks Wes! Glad to have you along for the ride! I'll try not to disappoint too much!! Well, the inevitable has come...another layer of paint had to be added. This time I started things off with a little chipping medium. This of course is to bring back some of which I cover up! As soon as it was dry, it was time to go to town so to speak...I cracked open a Dunkelgelb AFV Set from Vallejo to move things from the Russian corner to the German side of the ring... If it seems a bit light...it is what I was planning on! This will help bring things together with the weathering in the next stages! Time to chip, chip chip! Almost time to hit the booth again aslo! I need to paint a bit more on the Gear and give the GAZ a little more love! Still got tracks and the base to contend with, but things are moving in the right direction at least! Thanks for tuning in!

Sometimes you have to move towards the light to get to the right tones in the end. Looks like a solid platform for what's to come.

Way cool. So the chipping medium. Do you splatter or actually put it where you want. I haven't used any commercial brands. I still have a bottle liquid artist mask that I have had for ever so curious if it is any different or is it latex base like the mask
