wbill, depends on the size of the Lobster, harhar! Guys hellebard seems to have the right length ´caus I guess, in this world, Lobsters are a bit bigger than in ours... So it is Armor cracking time (sorry for this Guy, but I hope, you get what I want to say: develish smile here, harhar!).
Looks great so far, I see you are the same detailfanatic like me. Rocking good!

Thank you guys, I really got infected with the sculpting virus, I'm having a great time with this figure.
But make no mistake, I struggle a lot !
Because I like sculpting I always have the drive to do better and redo things until the result pleases me.
And still there will remain flaws in it, I'm very sure of that, I can only try to reduce them as much as I can.
Shay, if I ever master sculpting I probably try to cast things myself.

Casting yourself? We should team up! I have similar plans and ideas for doing so (maybe I will sculpt further projects with this in mind...). The figure rocks man, so much, but PUT OF THOSE NIPPLES, AAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!! I love the toady skin structure on arm and belly (but you haven´t done on the legs? Or is he wearing some kind of trousers, put into the boots?)

Thank you guys !
I don't have pics yet but I can tell you that Mr Toad went to Dr. Nipples to get his yes those removed.
Then he went to the fitness club to get those flappery teabags pumped up.
Tomorrow I will sculpt the right hand onto the halberd.
I look so much forward to start his head, it will be the icing on the cake.

Looking forward to seeing the surgery results Guy! Hope there's no scaring. Then again a few battle scars wouldn't look bad.

Looking increasingly warlike Guy!
As a non-sculpty person, it's been interesting to see what goes into putting something like this together and if I'm honest I wasn't sure what to think of the concept when you first came up with it...but I'll apologise now for doubting you!!
You've been steadily convincing me as you've gone along and I'm really looking forward to how this turns out!!
Keep up the good work.

Hi fellers, thanks again for your encouraging comments...without you I would fail bigtime !
I planned the sculpting of the right hand and the detailing of the halberd but I did something else which caught my eye.
The belt buckle didn't pop out and I removed it.
I found some great photos of frogs so I decided (to try) to sculpt a froglike belt buckle.
I think it looks much better as such a fantasy figure is more in his element with an impressive buckle !
Two sessions are needed to finish up this part, during the first session I sculpted the body and the legs.
Once this is hard I can proceed with the rest.
Try this too guys, I'm having such a splendid time with this project (and as a matter of fact I am thinking of a second sculpt project already !
Pics follow !
AG.

Thanks Bill ! Now I'm in the middle of sculpting a 'bronze' frog belt buckle. It will add a funny aspect I think, but that's up to you of course. Best regards ! AG.

Cheers mate, let me have an idea (yeah, I know, that stupid German blubbing around. Keep cool, Dude!): The idea is because of the muscles on his breast. I have done some pumping iron years ago and the male breast becomes a bit rounded on the top side (do not laugh, guys, not the rounds of a womans boob, means, as long as you do not take some, ahem, steroids and stuff like that!) The breast of unca Toady is a bit "too flat", when you see what I mean. OK, I fear you will skin me alive now a) for pressing you to remove the nipples and b) now going even further for having "bigger and rounder boobs".

Thank you guys ! Frank, of course thank you too feller ! No skinning at all, I'm glad you try to help me and every comment is from the helping kind. I didn't want to give Mr. Toad the look of Arnold Schwarzenegger in his better days, I should have to redo his entire body then. But I know what you mean when you speak of rounded on the top sides. I want to add some sort of shoulder protection/clothing like fur or a combination of them (most likely that). Just before finishing up the buckle...

You mean you will cover the breast with some sort of shouder pad? Sounds very interesting! All in all, this figure will be rocking good! But to keep you on the carpet: The head will make it count totally! Nothing comic like, nothing cartoon like, only high detailed grim naturalism, with scars and warts and evil eyes. What do you think of on one-eyed toady (a big scar through one eye, could make him even more grim!)
And remember: All ideas and "critics" are from my heart!!

Frank Meister, I'll do my best, I want to start sculpting the head soon, that's why I already began sculpting the right shoulder and upper arm. I sent him to the gym for a muscles workout and now he looks much more powerful I think. The halberd was completed with a right toad's hand and a bit of decoration but I will make a pic of that job later. Best regards ! AG.
