Well detailed, looks very good and interesting. Those small details enhance a sculpt or build a lot!

Well detailed, looks very good and interesting. Those small details enhance a sculpt or build a lot! Frank This project just gets better and better! I agree with Frank, these little tweaks/adding details give the sculpt more depth and plenty of options to play with colours while painting!

You're mucho to kind gentlemen !!! Today I've attached the dagger onto the figure and tomorrow I will add the last bits onto the scabbard. Then he will be dressed up more (shoulder armor/protection...). The head won't be that difficult I think, the little stuff he wears is a lot more complicated for me.

Hi Guy,
What you've done there, buddy, is a real dream for me. With every element you add, your Toad warrior became more and more impressive. Keept it on, my friend, and share with us as much details you can, so glad to see your results! Cheers, Nicolae

Nicolae, it was a dream for me too my friend, I only gave it a try and I'm glad I did it because it's not a total disaster I think. It's important to have an idea of what you want to create, in this case it was a series of 3D sculpts of a similar figure I found on the internet that inspired me. I had photos of all different angles of the figure and the only thing I had to do was to give it my own twist by dressing it up in another fashion and by not messing up the anatomy of the creature. Bill, it will be a one of a kind in my showcase for sure, it'll stand out between all those WWII vehicles and rust buckets lol. I needed something else to stay motivated and guess what...I feel the mojo for building WWII stuff popping up again ! But first things first, after this one I will build my Star Wars group build project which will be great fun too ! Anyways, I sculpted a dagger in its scabbard and attached it to the figure's belt next to the money pouch. Now this is done I can start the shoulder protection. Pics of yesterday's work : More soon fellers, thank you very much for your supportive comments ! Best regards ! AG.

No total disaster, ah, yap, I see! A little disaster that means? ARE YOU KIDDING!! This is better than some "professinal stuff" I have seen so far, the amount of detail is amazing, the pose cool and relaxed and all in all a top notch sculpture. A one of?? This will be sad of cause! I think you should definitly go this way more often and sculpt the hell out of it!

I'm glad I have you to lift my work up to a higher level friends, without you did it would be impossible.
Frank, your work and your spirit are one big chunk of inspiration to me and I'm having a great time with my Magic Sculp ! I have another sculpt in mind for the coming months, a human Viking can you believe that LOL ! I'm sure I'm gonna cry for my mummy and I'll need your helping hand for sure !

A Viking warrior! This will be a fest I think! Hardest part will be the face (hopefully without a beard, a nice challenge!). And we have to think about a real cool pose, nothing thats been done a hundred times before! And I hope, you will sometime come back to the fantasy field and start something new and impressing, like this sculpt here. Believe me, I am a fan of good written critics and be sure I will not praise a work I see faults in (exactly the way I like to be treated); I think to give positive critic is the best a builder could get (sometimes hard in forums, but this here is a great exception from that!). Love your paintjobs, love your sculptjobs and I think, you are a very nice guy, Dude!

Hi Guy! I can say as other fellows that it will be nice if you'll do more figurines sculpted. What I like most that with every detail added nothing in harmony is missed. Every detail give more life to your figurine, but everything's well balanced. I think here resides one of the most important aspects for anyone who want to sculpt and you clearly have this in your mind. So, the show must go on! Warm thanks, my friend, for sharing this impressive project with us! Very nice coincidence to see some friends sculpting these days wonderfull projects, you can look here, on a Romanian forum, at what Silviu made: www.cartula.ro/forum/topic/14029-haita-de-lupi/www.cartula.ro/forum/topic/14023-queen-of-blades/Nicolae

Guy, make him as weird as possible and grim looking!
Nico, how "sad" that I cannot read the comments. Would be great to know what those fellow modelers have to say. And great work this is!

Hi fellers, this afternoon was splendid ! I managed to shape the head of the toad and he's already looking as mean as a battle machine ! Next session will be even more fun because then I can proceed on the hardened 'bone structures' of the head and add more caracter and detail to it.
It was a good day, for the first time I'm sure I did well...that means...in 13 years of modelling !!!
No pics yet, I want to show the finished head later on and hopefully surprize you my friends.
It's coming together...finally !

Hehe, showing the head AFTER finishing is REALLY a courage thing!! Herefor karma +1! But wait, no possibility to offer some critisism? Altering a finished head is really challenging, but I think you will do the challenge, hehe! Joke aside, this sounds really good and I cannot wait! Do you plan to add a helmet?? Maybe in form of some slaughtered reptile skeleton head with some ritual details on it (maybe ic tould have horns, so adding some details like like rings on them or similar should look cool) Or Roman style, with battle scars and a neck protect from thick leather. Bro, I have tons of ideas for your Toady!

Thanks man, thanks a lot (rewarded with a Karma +1 of cause!) I do not know where it is from, but when it comes to figures, my brain cells work for themself. I see the figure and have ideas for possible pimping them to the max or adding extra details which could enhance the figure. And this is mainly concentrated on fantasy, SF and erotic figures. For historical stuff, it is more the base, I have in mind. But what sounds good is often a hell because I do not know when to stop the brainstorm.
Btw I would love to add some ideas to your possible reef base for the shark. But prepare for some extra hours for the works, harhar!

Hi guys, currently I'm sanding , carving and sculpting the head further into the shape I'm looking for. Showing the head after its finishing is taking a risk I know, but this makes me sharper and extra focused because it's the last big job in this project. Maybe it also helps to believe more in myself if it turns out well.
I'll see if I can do a helmet later on, it would be a great addition.
