I guess I just lost two pictures into space from Photobucket. They're gone!!
Update: I got 'em back. They are undergoing an update and all will be back to normal soon hopefully. |

Also picked up a modified small block Ford engine for the Stang today.....
along with a tubbed chassis w/ 9" differential, trailing arms and modified fuel tank to make putting some "meats" back there a little easier and neater.

I'm afraid you'd be over-qualified Andy - on the original movie poster the girl only wore the bottom bit. Would that make it a kini?    I will post pics of my bikini team whenever Photobucket is up and running. It has been down all day... crazy! |

Thanks Leon! I got this free yesterday from a friend of mine. I didn't even see it coming and it's still sealed up in the original cellophane. Looks like some fun additional detail parts from this will work out in that Mustang build.  |

Lucas, have a nice experience, indeed a beautifull bust! It was indeed a nice experience - next figure projects are in progress. One of the next figure projects is this one. The "Lord of Change" from Games Workshop. Its one of the earlier editions. Whenever I have the choice of plastic or white metal versions, I go for the white metal in most cases. Call me "old school" or something - I like it to work with these materials (even more if you look at the early resine editions of GW, the called it "Finecast" and it was... lets say not perfect at all). The bird is quite big, btw. for a 28mm scale. Regarding some WIPs ans SBS, the feathers will be very interesting (difficult?) to paint. We will see.  |

The F-86 would look really good in metall finish, done with aluminium foil! Have done this ONE time, it is hell, but looks hellish good!

Hi all! This isn't so much as new new acquisition but more of a rediscovery.... I must have been given this more than a decade or more ago, never used it and forgot about until earlier this month, when it suddenly came to mind and I found it stuck on a shelf in my shed. Whilst the motor's not very strong - even drilling into softish wood is sometimes an issue - pretty much all of the pieces fit into one of my vice pins and so could be used as hand files etc. in the right circumstances. Then there are some bits I have no idea what do with but I'll have some fun finding out!! All the best Andrew    |

Most of those tools won't be of much use with plastic but those green grinding stone tips could be useful when working with PE (I use a conical tip on my Dremel to remove the attachment nubs on PE for example). Plastic tends to be less forgiving with motor tools when it comes to sanding unless you can keep the speed low enough to prevent the friction from melting stuff. Those buffing wheels can also be handy for working with clear parts or to polish up stuff a bit too, lots of potential. |

The motor is single speed, so I too had come to the conclusion that using most of the tools with the drill was going to be a recipe for disaster (especially given my limited skill set!!). Just arrived in the post from Ireland:  The Nano Saws (30 teeth per centimetre) on the left are replacements for the set I bought several years ago - a truly excellent product: cuts plastic, resin, brass, copper. Just cut the blades from the fret and stick 'em in a craft knife handle. Haven't used a sprue-cutter since I've had these. Every modeller should have them! I haven't tried the Pico Saws (48 teeth per centimetre)yet, but expect them to be brilliant too. |

That looks like a great idea on the mini saws dierk! Lately I've developed an interest in late war Luftwaffe aircraft. This came in the mail just yesterday. Never done a resin kit before but I've been itchin' to build another aircraft. It's toss up between this or my ZM Ta-152......  .......we'll see.  |

On 1 leg of my Dallas-New Orleans trip a couple of weeks ago I was on American Airlines. I had only seen the new livery in online photos and really liked it a lot. But when I got to watch them for an hours or so at the gate I knew I had to have one.  It's been an eductaion process but I settled on the new Zvezda A321 in 144th scale. The kit just came today and the decals are on the way as are some resin AM "sharklets" for the wing tips.  |

Have had about 6 years drilling out of it and it still goes fine. Must admit I have never used it for anything else but drilling holes. The chuck takes drill bits down to about 0.6 mm which most don't go that small. I drill plastic, wood, resin and metal with it. Just take it slow and stop occasionally and clean out the drill bit grooves and it works fine. I pin all my figures, vehicles etc to my bases so drill a lot of holes. These are cheapies and not great quality but mine has served me well so far. |

Jeez! The things I could do with one of those things!! Good score Andrew! Ok folks. Right now I'm back home and am "re-grouped". As some of you know my wife is in intensive care in San Antonio right now where I've been for the last four nights. She had a brain aneurism on Sunday and it has been a roller coaster ride ever since. Thankfully I was right in front of her when it happened and after the emergency call everything flowed almost seamlessly. I had to return home to go back to work, re-pack and get ready to take my son and sister-in-law back up there while she has a large number of nurses and doctors surrounding her right now. Fortunately I only have a four day work week so that allows me to have Friday, Saturday and Sunday to spend with her. With that said I would like to try to lighten the evening alone up and share a little about what I obtained at the show on Saturday before the terrible things the following day happened. Some say I'm crazy for getting it but I just love this spacecraft and there's really no other halfway affordable version I can think of than in this scale that's worth a crap. So I just had to have the Revell re-release of the Fine Molds kit to use as a platform. Don't worry, my wife admitted for me that I'm nuts.....   My son wanted this..... (upon opening it I should have known it was a bit more than he could handle but it's going to safe keeping for now)  and I had to have this to go with my '90 Mustang LX kit so I could make a streetable version of my old car..........  |

I got these goodies a couple weeks ago thanks to Squadron's free shipping weekend:
I don't buy much AM, but I was kinda excited about the Takom Mk I, and I saw that MR Modellbau had a resin upgrade set so I went for it; $30 US shipped. For those who don't know, the main thing on the Mk. I was that the driver's 'doghouse' was wider than on the Mk. IV, but Takom didn't change the part for the Mk. I release. I mean, My God, how could they......
As if all that weren't enough, I picked up a bit of instruction from Adam Wilder:
A note on the Eduard Mig 15: WOW! Stunning at first glance. Includes color PE, beautiful plastic with great detail, and markings for 5 aircraft: Soviet, North Korean (flown by a Soviet pilot), East German, Egyptian, and Cuban. Very nice choices I think.
