tojo72: Gotta' love it when the paint flies! That color is spot on, I'll have to keep that one in mind. I like your road wheels "on parade" Looking good!

You saved your road wheels for as long as you could but they can't be ignored forever! Base paint looks good, nice progress.

Always like it when the paint has started flying! The two things that stop me from building more German armour: too many tool clamps, too many road wheels

Hi there Tojo,
Looking good! I'm always in for a Tiger, even more when it's an Early one. Count me in!
Greetings, Richard.

The early Tigers really make you wish they had come up with the steel wheels concept earlier. The base color looks great.

These are the Spade Ace metal tracks and they are very easy to work with, sharp molding,NO cleanup,I used straight pins for the first time and it only took about an hour for each side.I went with 95 links but will leave two loose if they need to be pulled.I highly recommend these as Fruil alternatives.

Looking good in a track-like sort of way. Glad you had a good experience with Spade Ace. I've only used them once for a Stug - much more complex links than the Tige ones - and all the nooks and crannies were so full of flash it took much longer to clean them than to assemble them. I do like the steel wire that comes with them, though - much nicer to use than the soft Friul wire.

Always good to get the shoes done! Spade Ace seems to be a 50-50 proposition depending on the track types as Dierk mentions but these look pretty nice.

Great to know about Spade Ace... it is always nice to have competition and choices since Friuls have jacked up their prices way too high.

A bit late to the table, Anthony, but count me as an early Tiger fan also. Eagerly watching.....

Nice to see the paint. Looks good, and I agree, you don't see this kind of camo often on a model. Looks good!
Cheers

I hear you about the wire! I found some very tightly wound wire at my local fly shop awhile back. Yet it's fairly flexable. I've also seen sewing thread that looks the part. gary

Gary,at work we have little tags with wire that we attach to heaters after inspections, the wire was just right.
