You are on a binge Dupes! Nice looking builds all. Good to know you are doing your part to raise up the next gen of model builders. My son is 6, but so far shows no interest in hangin' around my bench. Of course, I've only been back at the bench for 3 weeks now. Almost got a 262 to paint stage. Its also good to know that OOB builds are still fun. Sometimes, I get overwhelmed thinking of the aftermarket junk you can buy for a model. The thing that bothers me most of the time with OOB builds is the lack of cockpit detail, mainly the seat and seat belts, as this is what is usually seen. With bass fishing, 3-gun, and modeling, I have to spread my meager hobby budget among these three addictions. I'm gonna stop rambling now. You do fantastic work.

Don't take yourself too seriously. It's just plastic.

Hey, thanks! It helps that my boy has seen me modeling ever since he was born - I have a table in our living room that he sits at with me pretty frequently. He's already working the sprue cutters, and has a "mini-stash" of Zvezda Disney kits waiting for him. OOB - don't forget that you can add paper/tape belts of your own make without violating any IPMS rules. Just that helps a lot of kit cockpits look "not so OOB".

Wow, your were able to get all these done this year? Your a machine. Excellent work. Dave. Thanks Dave! I get a lot of practice building so much...which means I'm able to build that much faster. You should check out my 2015 thread as well - ended up with 40 (I think) last year! I'm on a roll right now, and have more than two months to go - should be able to beat that without too many issues.

Number 33, actually. Barring some unseen catastrophe, I'll surpass last year's 40 without any issues!

Couple more to add to the roster! First up - my oldest shelf queen. Was given this kit back in high school (let's call it 1990 or so) when I started building it. Never finished. Got back on it about 10 years ago when I got back into modeling...also started painting it. Fast forward to a week or so ago when the three year old found a nearly-finished Falcon languishing on a shelf in my office - next commission build! AMT kit out of box. My modeling skills have "slightly" improved since I started work on this one. Heh.

The time - helps owning my own company, but judicious use of every spare moment I can find coupled with a lot of coffee/lack of sleep is how I find the rest! And I'll freely admit that the more practice I get, the better I get. Say what you will about building quickly...very easy to fine tune your various skills.
