Another alternative is to subscribe to Adobe Creative Cloud for Photographers, you get access to Lightroom and Photoshop for $9.99 a month. Adobe Creative Cloud for PhotographersThen you'll have access to everything you could ever need from a photography standpoint. Hmm, 120 bucks a year, 1200 over 10 years...bargain Before investing in sofware, I'll have to spend a bit on hardware - laptop is on its last legs It's a shame Todd already has the copyright to 'someone should get SUed over this' as it is much more applicable to the DML offering Anywhoo, I dragged this (and myself) kicking and screaming across the finish line. Could've done more to it, but, as my better half put it 'your modelling life's too short to waste it on a model you hate'. I hope it's not too obvious that my heart wasn't really in it. If nothing else it proves that the old 'you shouldn't look a gift-horse in the mouth' is a load of you-know-what. Now for the fun bit: strip all the useful stuff off, and...you'll see Thank you all for coming along on this ride, and spend your money wisely

Nice to see this cross the finish line Dierk! Now start building something you really like without the aggrevation.

Now start building something you really like without the aggrevation. How about an SU-76i - but this time using the MC conversion?

LOL...no copyrights applied my friend! Have at it! You did a fine job considering what you had to work with and the level of frustration involved! You took this as far as you felt it should go...done and move on to more enjoyable pastures!

Thanks Todd and PJ! first I have to re-live the trauma - in German - whilst writing the promised build review. Despite all my misgivings about the kit, I think it turned out OK. Certainly not my best effort though.

You did very well on this cutie, given it troubled you so much! No one would ever think under the paint sits such a nasty little bugger model. Nevertheless, I would liven up the matte finish with some semi-gloss spills and speckles in appropriate places.

We are not always going to see the balance between a kit and what we put into it. At the end of the day, you did a fine job on this! If nothing else, it will give you more respect for the conversion on the next go-around!

That looks great, it looks like a master modeler built it.

Like I said, I'd have done more (and will do on the 'proper' SU build - coming to MSC near you soon) In proper Germlish I'd say 'this model is hanging me out of the neck' We are not always going to see the balance between a kit and what we put into it. At the end of the day, you did a fine job on this! If nothing else, it will give you more respect for the conversion on the next go-around! Cheers Todd! Having had the opportunity to compare the two as I was going along, I'm already bursting with admiration for the MC version! That looks great, it looks like a master modeler built it. Thank you very much CD! You're too kind! The next SU build will be better, I promise! I might enter this one in MoM just for a laugh, though...

Good afternoon Dierk. You took a pig of a kit and turned it into something quite presentable. Next build!
