T-34s must be hard to drive, according to the high number of them ended in a ditch Or, to say it in other words, the T-34 must be a quite hot tank on the inside, so the thirst gets its toll

Rob, that T-62 is great. And you're right, yours is a factory, given the high output of your bench

LOL thanks guys.
I had started the Acadamy Tiger I but am not happy with the kit, guess I am Dragon kit spoiled. Too many simplified parts and detail and reminds me of the 70's or early 90's Tamiya kits.

The int parts aren't that great Spud. For just a through the hatch view it's ok but not up to paar with rsin AM products. I'm saving my Verlinden int for a Dragon kit. I might go without the int on the Acadamy Tiggy, we'll see.

Build looks great Boss! Cant wait for the paint work:) sad news on the Acadamy Tiger with interior. I've got that kit too:( I'm sure we can all come up with something presentable out of them though;)

Thanks fellas. Yeah Nate the kit isn't the greatest, in my opinion, but not to say it's a bad kit. By looking at what Gary did to his, you can see it can be built and painted into something nice. I believe ER also is building this kit.
I have burnt road wheels from TWS (Tank work shop) for the Tiger, but they look old and have no instructions. So it's guess work as to what wheel goes where. I think these are for a Dragon kit, maybe even Tamiya. They are a bit different than the Acadamy wheels, especially the bolt detail, which there is very little of on the TWS wheels. So this means for a burnt out Tiggy I have to start doing some tire ( rubber) removal on about twenty wheels. Yeah and this after doing this to the JP wheels.....fun fun fun.
I may go with the interior but won't go nuts with the painting since little will be seen. I'll start this part soon and then separate and clean wheels.
We'll try to make something out of this kit yet.....I have some PE and the Fruils that will liven it up.

Hey Rob, You been a busy boy! The panthers are coming ER started ER look good! Nice start on the sherman! Those t-34's, nothing better than busted up Russian armor! And the T-62 is looking good! The Academy Tiger that you have, is it the early or mid? I have the mid and the interior stuff looks to be pretty good. Great looking stuff so far boss, I'll be watching and learning!

Thanks bud. The Tiger is the Early version. Yes the interior is pretty good but I hate the mixed types of plastic used and all the ejector pin marks. I also have a mid Tiger from Dragon that I may just build and add the Verlinden interior, just a question of when I'll get to it. I am itching to build one of the KV's or a PZ IV

jackwagon you are much too kind my friend, thank you....and thank you all for checking in on this.
Bill I still have the Loki on my mind and am collecting ref pics, misc items and lots of ideas. The ideas come mainly from what you all are building and posting here on MSC.
Due to have lots to do, model and non model related, I have friends coming over from Germany in two weeks. So there are some things to get squared away on the homefront before I can do any models, especially painting. Will try to squeeze in bench time when I can. For now I'll just watch you all build and paint.

Hey Gary, thanks bro.....but this won't be much of a SBS on the painting, rusting or weathering. I'll just update a pic or two now and then to show where I'm at. Toooooo many to really blog them with SBS stuff. need to get a bunch done and out of the way so I can go back and start new kits.....doesn't quite make sense eh...LOL LOL

Before I call it a night I thought I'd post a few pics of the rust factory. First the T-62 in a base rust coat. And the Panther turret with the same. Now an overall shot of what on the bench. Mind you, I still have other models in the build and painting stages......in various areas of the room. Got to space them or the missus will give the eye and say, have enough started.. ;D ;D ;D You can make out the Tamiya greens and yellows that will be used for the T-62 in the next couple days.

The various tubs and bins are used to store the wheels, and the various sets of tracks I'm also working on.
