Spent some time last night wiring the motor a bit and will check ref pics to see where else I can add some wiring on the motor/tranny and will get a pic up today.

Not built by me but will get the scratchmod treatment. I have my good friend James Bella building this one for me. He's a good clean and fast builder who is helping me out here since I already have waaaay too many on the bench as is. I'll be doing the painting on this one. Same routine as with the Mine Roller, he builds and I paint. This gives me more time to work on the more time consuming builds ...like the wrecked T-34/85. Thanks James.

LOL yeah right Spuddy Here are a couple of pics of the motor and tranny for the T-34/85. Still some parts to add now that the wiring is done. So now I have to decide which lower hull to use, AFV (bottom) or the Dragon hull. The AFV hull will need lots of cleaning up to remove the molded on items....so we'll go with the Dragon one.

Thanks fellas, Steve will do bro.
The AFV kit I have noticed, does require some careful cleaning of parts...lots of heavy mold seams, ejector pin marks etc. I am not sure yet how far I will go with wrecking this one, maybe oly the front half and leave the rear mostly intact !! I would then just remove a couple of the roof plates, hatches etc showing the motor comp and tranny. Still thinking this one out.
will have to make new motor mounts as the kit one is not up to paar.
Last of the tranny and motor parts are on and drying.....think I will go chop up a T-34 hull and take it from there....you have to break some eggs to make a cake right...so you have to chop a hull to make a wreck...((LOL))

That engine looks sweet Rob, is that from the AFV kit?
The sherman looks good as well. Looks like a tasca kit. Can't wait to see it get the scratchmod treatment.

You got it T...chop chop ;D ;D John, yep the motor and tranny are from AFV. I'll be using the AFV interior for this one and the exterior from Dragon....kit-bashing. Well I broke some eggs, and it was fun too. Before and after with some interior and motor tranny test fitted. The side plate lying there will get glued in place later. Might get another hour in to clean her up and test fit things, then add the rear plate. Once the dirty work is done, I'll get the T-62 back on the bench to finish that off....finally.

OK I couldn't find the ref pics I thought I had so these have to do. These three images will give you an idea of what this will kind of look like. take a little from each and add the scratchmod touch and some bits from various KV wrecks. yep, half in a ditch and some remaining CM. FOR DISCUSSION PURPOSE ONLY

what, they won't do an exchange !!! damn, I'm stuck with this broken crap then. Still have to thin some plates here and there, clean up etc etc etc. Will have to get a base mocked up and plan further. Also the interior front section needs to be planned out , and lots of other things.

I have the AFV T-34 exterior that will get the Tank treatment. I'll do just a simple KO'd tank, or a runner with lots of weathering.

Super stuff, as always, Rob.
Hey, that last pic you posted - of the /85 in the ditch. That looks pretty recent. Is that from one of the Balkan wars in the late '90s? I know they still have (had) a bunch of WWII era stuff in service (I've got some great pics of old US M8 Greyhounds in Croat service during the war).

Yep that's it Steve. I also found another shot of this tank from the front. I've moved the T-34 aside so I can do the rest of my T-62. Should have her done tonight and pics tonight or tomorrow.

Spud I have way to many to finish right now too worry about the accuracy. Once I get caught up and have the shelf queens, well most of them, done, then we'll do em right. As you know most of what I've been doing lately is for trying out new things, both techniques and products. The T-62 will get painted with the new K4 acrylic paints so that will be fun. Will also get back to tracks now and then. Right now removing the rubber and cleaning the M51 T-80 tracks is a pain.
