This won't be a full build and painting blog but I will show some progress pics here and there. I will be working on the JP ( members only category) build at the same time. I'll be posting here and there some of the models hitting the bench this year in this one thread. They will not be full build blogs but just updates on what I'm doing. The Panther and JP are just two and there will be a few others hitting the bench this year. I'll post the first few pics when there is actual progress to show. Right now it's wheels........and tons of them....Panthers and Tigers have LOTS of wheels.

No Spud not from the Panther but did do some of the JP wheels that way. They will be for masters to cast burnt wheels. The Panther won't be burnt, just a rust bucket like the one I did a year or so ago......but better.
Will try to get some pics up today....I made it to step 5.....woohoo

A long overdue update with some pics for you. As you can see there are two kats on the bench sharing equal time...well almost. This will be a rust bucket so work on the Panther is going very slow. I want to show some missing wheels so the axles/hubs need to be made up. The JP is a burnt out wreck and the wheels for that are done as well. To depict an abandoned tank, or rust bucket, attention to the small details is very important in order impart the correct 'look' of the tank. In the above pic you can see the one missing exhaust, and the other damaged. The one exhaust was carefully hollowed out and then bend up. An hour worth of work but it will pay off in the end. Will try to get some of the smaller parts and details done, as well as some scratch work on the turret interior...enough to show there is something in there but not 100% of the parts and equipment normally found in the turret. Stay tuned.

Thanks all for checking in and for the comments. Also thanks to Spud for reminding me of the point blank turret...I have decided to go with that turret since it looks very cool and will save me time in deciding how to knock this tank out. Pics in a bit of the new set up.
OH yeah, the JP is standard Dragon kit while the Panther ia a CyberHobby kit and the point blank turret by Verlinden.

Me too Spud. Here are a couple of images of the new Verlinden 'Point Blank" turret with Dragon kit parts added. You can find a review of the Verlinden turret here. modelerssocialclub.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=reviews&action=display&thread=1168I will start to add some of the kits smaller detail parts and then start back on the JP. As for thinning the exhaust I used different dremal grinding and cutting bits as well as half round needle files.I could have gone with some styrene tube but decided to stick with the kit part and add the damage to that.

LOLOLOL jackwagon ol boy you crack me up mate.
Thanks fellas for the kind words. Got most of the little parts on and will turn my attention to the JP. jackwagon I do have a few more to hit the bench in the very near future. Gonna be doing a ton of wrecks and such in the next year or so. Got quite a few KV's and PZ IV's in the stash. Also have a few HT's I have some cool ideas for.
