Hey Everyone, This thread will be for any questions and/or comments to/for my "Basic Rusting and Weathering" thread. This thread is meant to give someone a starting point into the world opf rusting. Not everyone is capable of coming out of the gate running and put up a "Scratchmod Build". It's not always easy and we all need to start somewhere. This will help I hope. Found Here: modelerssocialclub.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=members&action=display&thread=1197Thanks for stopping by!!!

Thanks Gents!!
I think it would be great to see some testing and building right here. Key words to remember....CHEAP KITS!! I am not sure about your LHS but there are a few around where I am that have opened boxes, maybe some parts missing, for next to nothing for cost. Sometimes they will toss in a free one to get rid of these dogs.
These are great, as you can see. They bild up nice sometimes and make the best for testbed applications as well as for damaged wrecks. LOL, if you screw up, who cares when you spend $3 on the kit.

That's a good suggestion buddy, if only our LHS should do the same even their water damage kits still cost. good thing the tamiya Tiger is a willing subject lol even though the tracks already melted

I got me the Academy M151A1. It was the cheapest kit around, so I'll mess with it. Looking for some reference pictures now

Great progress. I miss the pigments, but in my process I'll try the TE rust color that has already pigments within.

Hey T, awesome SBS. I think I'm gonna restart the rusting on my 55' chevy truck because in parts when I chipped it, it went all the way to the primer coat and I think I can get a better result/color/layer effect if I start again. Thanks for the inspiration:)
