I have the Profi pack kit and an overtrees kit. This was supposed to be a dual build but, after eyeballing the OT kit, I have opted to go all out on it and place it on a small base. Until the goodies arrive, I will continue on with this build. One of the two will be a white distemper finish...very worn. I am thinking that will be the OT kit. This one will be either Hans or Marseilles bird....I may end up getting another OT kit....Focus Dave!

Good evening everyone. Marc, Glad to see you here. No primer on the interior yet. Still trying to decide on which finish to build it in. Rick, Thank you kindly. Joe, The Friedrick is probably my favorite of the 109's

With the G6, it looks like the exhaust is mounted too high in the fuselage to my eyeballs. Been a lot of talk about the supercharger intakes not being right on the Zvezda, but I had photos of three different intakes being used! Two different main gear openings. Have come to the conclusion that 109's are simply a can of worms! Look for the decals titled "Augsberg Flyers". The other good sheet (if you can find one in good condition) is the old Fujimi sheet that has all the unit crests. Most will be yellowed, but a few are not. I have three of the them, and two are yellowed from age. gary

Good evening everyone. Leon, Yup! Another wingy thingy. Consider yourself counted. Dierk, You're counted in as well. It's a 109 paradise of late. jpc1968, Same here! Gary, I would agree with you about the can of worms analogy. Though not nearly as much as say a Tiger or Panther tank. Nonetheless, they probably used what they had at or near production changes. As to the yellowing decal sheets, if you tape them up in a window facing the sun for a day or two, the yellowing can be reversed. I learned of this trick years ago. I've used decal sheets that I've had to do this with and, they work just fine. That being said, the decal sheets were previously very carefully. Here's last nights progress before the Mk.I eyeballs told me to call it a day. There is still much detail work to be done with the CP before paint gets laid down.

Good evening gents. Leon, Thank you very much my good man. Their PE works as advertised with their kits. Jpc1968, Thank you kindly Bish, Thank you much. A good bit of progress today. Got the dogs walked. Grocery run to the store....then the rain came in....again. Well shoot! Too nasty to get anything done outside. Looks like I'll just have to contend my self with some bench time. There are multiple ways of building up the CP. PE...no PE. I opted for a mish mash of the two. The detail of the styrene moldings is really too good to give up to two dimensional PE completely. Here is the IP. It's built up from three layers of PE. The starboard IP panel is a mix up of PE and styrene. The oil wash is Abteilung 502 Midnight Blue and Black. Dry brushing was with Vallejo paints. Had a dickens of a time trying to get the CP lit properly for a pic. This was the best of the bunch. I decided on building up an F-4/B Jabo variant. It'll be carrying a SC 250 bomb. How this beast ever got into the air with that payload.... The intake is a three part assembly. When you're done assembling it, the seam line is hidden by the "weld" line for the assembly. Three of the two underside cooler assemblies is place. The back side of the wing mounted coolers... Most of the control surfaces are mounted here. The only ones not mounted are the split flaps for the coolers and, the rudder. Here the prop, spinner, windscreen and, canopy are dry fitted. There was ever the slightest gap at the wing root. So, I masked it off and laid down a strip of Vallejo putty. I immediately went over it with a damp Q-tip. Gap gone.

Dierk, Yes I know..."poor poor me". It's wretched...the lack of imagination I had to get bench time. It's a fun kit to build. Thank you buddy. Jpc1968, Thank you my good man. it's the perfect putty for the wee jobs where, the Bondo it just too much. PJ2, Thank you kindly for the compliant my friend. Marc, It's wonderful to hear from you. Thank you very much for having a gander. Leon, Actually, the rain has been weighing on everyones mood around these parts. Nonetheless, I am going to steel what bench time I can. Thank you buddy. Bob, Thank you very much my Brother. After working on the size of the Do 17Z, this wee beastie feels downright diminutive. A productive day around and, outside the house today. Even still, I was able to get in some bench time. The wind screen with the additional armored glass was mounted. There is even PE for the hand holds in the upper corners. The PE on the starboard glass should actually be on the port side. Dyslexia strikes again. Split flaps for the radiators are now in place. I finally snapped of the tail wheel. To repair it, I drilled out the strut to accept a piece of 0.015" stainless steel wire. After placing it and, before the CA set up, I deflected the wheel to make it a bit more dynamic. It's a good bit closer to primer now....

Good evening everyone. Dierk, Thank you kindly mate. Leon, I had hoped to get closer to primer today. No such luck. A kitchen project took far longer than I had planned. Jpc1968, Thank you very much buddy. Note to self....mind the blasted tail wheel.

Nice progress. You mean you only broke the tail wheel off once? AMATEUR! The pros break it at least 3 times, then loose it for a few days before they break out the SS wire.
