Your figure and detail painting skills are to be envied Terry. Such brilliant work everywhere I look on this thing. It must've taken you a while to get "your method" down pat but buddy......you have most certainly done that. I'm watching and learning the whole way. What's your trick to getting the faces so realistic looking? Faces for me are luck and practice. I had to do this one twice. That's the good thing about painting with oils. When you mess it up just wipe it off and start over. Thanks

The commander looks great! Just noticed your chipping job on the StuG and I think you did a great job hitting where heavy contacts would be made.

Now that’s a good looking commander. Was that aftermarket or did he come with the kit?

Most impressive looking work!
I have a feeling that San Marcos is going to need to do some split offs for 1/16 armor, because these kits are just so much more than 1/35 and the competition if they are in the same category is just not fair.

Holy cats! …I just started this thread… what a beauty of a build! I really love these tracks…amazing detail! I’m struggling with painting tracks myself…what color(s) did you use for these? Hand painted?

What's your trick to getting the faces so realistic looking? ^ ^ ^ ^ What he said! Honestly, this one of my favorite build threads. I’ve learned a lot, particularly from long looks at the pics, analyzing what you accomplished. I note yiu are humble about your skills, but dude, I’m a fan! The figures are fantastic, and your proficiency level is top rate in my book! …I need to up my game significantly ing facial colors like that. Would love to hear a little on how you approach it. EDIT: just saw your answer

Hand painted? Well these were done with Tamiya dark iron. Then with some Tamiya red brown added a over spray was added.

That will be a show stopper for sure. Andy mentioned last night that he Andys HHQ is sponsering the 1/16scale catagory, with all the popularity IPMS finally desided it needed a place. AWESOME work Terry, break a leg.

AWESOME work Terry, break a leg. A separate category will be great! I wish there had been one last year. Thanks for comment.
