Great haul of goodies! Can’t wait to see you recreate your FRS Well it will look like this complete with base. Or at least that is my plan. Ah, now that is excellent. Great plan

No new plastic for Christmas, but courtesy of my bank account I gave myself an addition to my camera setup. Not much use for plastic models, but for R/C I think it is going to be great fun. Pentax HD DA 150-450mm F5.6-5.6ED DC AW which with my APS C camera body results in a zoom range of 230-690. A bit heavy at 4 pounds but that will keep my shaky hands from messing up things. All kinds of buttons and features, including focus range limiting, which pretty much stops most hunting in autofocus, The sky has not been to good for pictures so far, dark and hazy when it's not been raining but here is a shot of a turbine powered Cougar, which is about 5 feet long from last Friday.

3 kits in one...a great idea!! The plane kit is a bunch of 1/350 planes for the carrier deck. Missed that.... Saw this on my phone, so the text isn't quite visible. Good luck with the build.

I’m gonna have to order some stuff soon I think. I have a project or two that would be awesome with some of Iceman’s stuff on it. For the record, you’re all a bunch of bad influences! 😁
Hey, compliments will get you everywhere!
I have a large number of acquisitions to show to finish out the year. A raffle winner, two purchases; one was an early Christmas present, and the rest were Distressed Kit Auction winnings thanks to a client who paid for a commission. Okay, let's get started.. My raffle winner from the November IPMS meeting: Now my purchases, this one was bought so I can finish my SCUD C truck with the correct launcher arms: And my early Christmas present: And now for all my Distressed Kit Auction winnings. We'll start with the models. Remember I got almost all these for one or two bucks each, mostly because nobody else was bidding on them: These were bundled because they were the same kit and there was some question as to whether one or both were complete: I got this for the canopy as well as other accessories so I can finish a nine-year-old shelf queen: I probably already have one built, but this is a cool looking plane: Finally, at least for the models, there are six 1/72 scale vehicles here: four wargame kits already assembled and two GAZ AAA tracks inside the white box that need to be built: And now, here is where I spent real money; mostly because I wanted the tools and paints. These are all from a guy who just decided he was done with the hobby and literally pulled everything off his desk and packed it into boxes to donate to our club president. Our president then sorted them into associated groups to sell as package deals. These are the packages I got: We'll start with something simple: It might not look like much, but this box is full of treasures: there's even a wire stripper inside for stripping the wires to use on the models. Next up: I got those tools for the organizer tray and to use. Still, a ton of useful tools; the non-toxic glue notwithstanding.... More tools and brushes: One of my favorite packages: And now for the paints and other supplies. These packages have mostly Vallejo paints, some Mig paints and a number of gloss and dull varnishes along with a number of other items: And the final paint set is this Vallejo set, which I also got for the stand: Well, that completes the haul for this month, and most probably the year. I don't see myself getting any more Christmas money to spend on myself, but at least I'm loaded for bear for the new year. Oh, and for those who are curious; I paid $63.00 total for everything I got in the Distressed Kit Auction listed in this post. And that is mother of all hauls!! Very nice indeed!! Andrew

Well, I had to end 2023 with a bang. I received my last profit sharing check around the middle of November. My friend Paul ( 2whl on here) had mentioned during a phone call that he had one of his beautiful Model Factory Hiro kits for sale. It is the 1/20 scale Honda RA300 and he didn't need this one because he has it in 1/12 scale. So, I decided to use a chunk of that money on this kit. We'll call this one my work bonus to myself. Thanks Paul! This has led me down a dark path. We'll call this my Christmas gift to myself. As soon as I got the kit from Paul I had to check it out. And let me tell you, it looks incredible. So, knowing that I was going to be receiving some cash for Christmas I let my inner voices win. I went to the Model Factory Hiro website and ordered another kit. I love Indy cars and awhile ago they re-released their full detail Lotus 56 also in 1/20 scale. It was still in stock so I pulled the trigger. For those that aren't aware MFH has top notch shipping and customer service. Ordered it one night, invoice the next morning. Paid it and it immediately shipped and was to my house from Japan in about 3 days. Incredible. And they gave me a discount which basically equated to free shipping. Add in a handwritten note and a lovely Origami crane and you have me signed up to spend more money with your company. Then moving on to actual Christmas gifts from my wife and in-laws. The Delta S4 looks like an awesome kit and I do love me some Lancias. The Typhoon (I forgot to get a picture of it so downloaded a quick stock photo) they bought for me because I guess it was super on sale and my wife thought it looked like something I would think was cool. She's right. I did think it was cool. So that's 2 recent 1/35 acquisitions now. Yikes. What a year for my stash. This is why I have to try to keep my volume of builds up!! lol. Very cool! I do like it when sellers add a hand written note, it adds a certain something to the purchase!

I've heard great things about this low cost airbrush I've heard great things about this low cost airbrush Nice haul on kits. I bought the same airbrush but haven't tried it yet Johnny, John I don't think you'll be disappointed. I got one about 6 months ago and for a budget AB it's an absolute gem.....it performs just as well the other ABs I use and one is basically an IWATA but by another name, of course top end ABs will still probably be better. Kyle and I are currently putting together a review as we've bought this recently and Kyle has also got one of the trigger ones. We hope to get it out soon. ATB Andrew

The Texan is a pretty nice kit - did one a few years back. I struggled with my Hasegawa f-14A and it's on permanent shelf status - damn intakes... The microsol/set hold is nice. I got a 3d printed one a bit back and haven't spilled since 😁

Almost three pages of new haul posted within a week! I enjoyed looking at your comments. What did I get? I am not sure why but it looks like I am dealing with the 'ships' bug... USS Saratoga kit was only $65 and my parents live just south of Saratoga so why not!!! LOL I am most excited about this gift from my awesome wife! Since nobody makes a kit of USS Indiana where I am but there was an aftermarket set made to convert either USS Alabama or USS Massachusetts kit into USS Indiana but it went out of business long time ago so it is very hard to find those now. Fortunately a local friend knew I really wanted it badly and he sold the whole set to my wife. I think my dog Barbie approves... plenty of book references! Finally a gift from my boys... they claimed Sprue Brother didn't ship it out in time for Christmas. Nah, I suspect they waited til very last minute. So it will arrive eventually... Please promise me you will stop me from getting more ship kits for a while!

Wow really nice motors. Anyone make this one? Garlits Challenger
Iceman does a Hellcat and a 392crate motor in 3d about $20 - $22 Crate motor looks easily converted to the Garlits one.
