Well folks.....the body is now in primer!!! I've got a couple of areas to work on but they aren't a big issue.

I also thought I'd share the engine bay progress so far. Got a couple of more things to add to it but I'm pretty happy with where it's all at so I wanted to put a shot of it where it stands as of now.....

Well folks.....the body is now in primer!!! I've got a couple of areas to work on but they aren't a big issue. I am glad the mr surfacer primer worked out well for you. Did you thin it with the mr leveling thinner? Also I see your wire bending jig in the background, do you like that one? I looked at getting that one but wanted to hear someone else’s opinion first.

Joe, great progress. Did you perchance use the slow lacquer thinner with the MCW paint?

This has been one SLOW build process but it keeps getting closer to the finish line with every update. I think I'll be able to slide 'er to the finish line in time. I did use that lacquer thinner with the paint and it worked out GREAT!! No cobwebbing!!

I noticed that the engine was in the bay at a weird angle so I took some time to straighten everything up this morning as well as to get the heater hoses formed and installed. I managed to make some heater hose clamps too. Still got the upper radiator hose, throttle linkage and a few other small details to go and then it'll be off to finishing up the car body and getting this thing to resemble a Corvette.

Beautiful work Joe. I really like the finned valve covers. All the details you're adding into this makes it look like you just hit a real one with a shrink ray. Incredible job.
