It has become a beautiful model that has put a lot of love into it in those 9 months, but there is a little blue Corvette.  Thank you for following along and for your comments brother Ron. Man, that turned out stunning. But, that is exactly what I expected. Crazy nice build. 'Preciate that Brandon. I'm looking forward to seeing that Vette project of yours come to life. It has been a true pleasure following along with this. Fantastic details, beautiful work correcting the issues with the kit. Gorgeous paint. Just a really phenomenal build Joe!! Thank you Kyle. It's about the level of detail and finish, and you've certainly achieved both with this build. Engine bay, interior and paint finish - it's all there. No small feat given the quirks of this kit. Definitely a masterpiece, Joe! The leather effect and sheen on those seats is very convincing.

Definitely a masterpiece, Joe! The leather effect and sheen on those seats is very convincing. Thanks eagle. I used a variety of black color shades to get the right effect. On the more flat toned areas I've been known to dry brush some ground up black pastel over the surface to bring out the contrast a little more. What a GREAT finish!!! And then today's update: I've got the carburetor painted and the details picked out with a light wash, got the fuel lines added, installed the starter with the postive battery cable connected, modified drive belt without the air pump and painted up and installed the alternator bracket. So far I'm decently pleased with these results:  Joe! That engine alone is simply outstanding!!! |
