Always in for a Corsair!! Love them. I need to get a kit and build one sometime. This is looking really excellent. The Tamiya kit fit is excellent, definitely recommend. The man speaks the truth. I built a Revell version a few years back and was beating my head against a wall wondering why I didn't just go the Tammy route. The Revell kit fought me the entire way but I managed to get through it alright but the Tamiya.....well.....with a Tamiya kit that's a little different. You could pretty much drop the box on the floor and all the parts just fall together. Great work so far on this Clint. I like the way that engine is building up. |

My father got some seat time in the Corsair as a flight instructor during the war. I've got to finish my Tamiya 1/72 some day and you have definitely given me some encouragement with your beautiful build.

Cleaning up the seam, it went together very well, of course the bottom closed up better than the top but still just needs a bit of putty. Also after I put the putty down I realized that I forgot to lay tape down the length of the seam going to cause me a bit more clean up later but oh well. to check my seams I run a black marker down them, any problem spots usually jump right out to me doing it this way  |

Quinta studios stuff is great, I use to buy his stuff of etsy but since he is Russian they shut his store down even though he has came out multiple times being against the war. BNA in Australia is about the only place to reliably get them now at retail price. Shipping is also fast arriving here in the states about as fast as ordering from anyplace in the US |

That’s a good tip to remember for me about the usage of tape when using putty to avoid excess clean up. This is coming along nicely Clint.
