Wow thanks for such a positive response guys I've tried to keep it subtle, going to work on blending it into the base next. Then add some details and a wash or two.... Let see where that takes us Thanks again for the support guys... High praise indeed from such distinguish company

Thanks spud Even my wife likes this one... normally she's the one to 'wreck' the builds... just as I've finished and put 'em out for display ;D

Hiya Mark, yeah it's been really good fun and a massive stress buster to chop , cut, file and drill the old beast , the paint has been unusually enjoyable too It's just now that the pressure is building a bit, it's so easy to cock it all up with one wash or filter too many but the beauty of this is you can wipe it off and pretend you meant to do it that way ;D Go for it, trust me.... Would I lie to you ?

Evening chaps; Mf72 - thank you Sir , as a fellow wingything fan I appreciate the support Robbo - Cheers I'm still learning to use these enamel streaking paints but I think it's getting there LastCav - thanks for the kind words and dropping by my friend Scratchmod AKA 'The Boss' - my build and MrT in the same sentence Big compliment indeed Paul - thanks for taking the time out to read the whole thing and I'm glad you like what you've seen I'm finding my way with this, I'm from the old school where you build as neat and clean as you can but I've gotta say ... this way is far more fun After seeing whats happening to the FW190 , that 1/24 Airfix Harrier is trying to hide at the back of the stash .... but I know he's there ;D ;D

Hey Mr T, you know it's true ;D. I've put a kit on my birthday list with the sole intent of 'wrecking' her.... Don't tell the Missuss though ;D MadAB - thanks for the big 'up' and dropping in my friend Thanks Gray, I'm trying to replicate the weather staining you achieved on the Sherman, it ain't as easy as you make it look matey ;D Just waiting for some groundwork to dry off and I'll post another update

Hi All, at last!! an update So... finished the seat and started building up the ground work layers Next job is to weather up the glazing, add the props I bent in boiling water, guns and finally...pull the whole thing together with pin washes and a misting of various Tamy paints. Watch this space ACW as always

Thanks for the awesome support guys I'm quite pleased with her too now I've spent another couple of hours on her this evening and we're down to the final washes now on the airframe and the ground work needs to harden off. Should be overnight this time of year but the weather is cold n' wet.. so who knows Just a detail or two to add then and we're done

evening again chaps, Well motivated by the need to get going on the FW189, I've done a couple more hours today. The Glazing was aged by giving it a good coat of matt clear lacquer then when this was dry, a very light dry-brushing with Green slime and yellow enamels. The idea was to give it a UV aged look along with dirt and algae. Wot do you think... is it there? Nest up was the prop and spinner. These was painted with a mix of Humbrol Metalcote Ali and light grey and left to dry. Then polished up before applying Humbrol Maskol with a small sponge. When this was dry they were sprayed with a mix of RLM02 and RML76 acrylic I mixed from Tammy paints. Left to dry, then HS and a coat of RLM Black/Green. 20 mins later scrubbed off with my fingers The result is this... I happy with it Just realised that there should be some remains of the wiring, so that's tomorrow work AWC as ever, cheers
