Hi all I have to agree with you jackwagon sounds like the best option Deafpanzer glad your enjoying it Cheers Boots always a pleasure to have your input Spud thanks matey the tattoo is painted Many thanks Dave couple of updates, ive painted the Sica as it is, burnt umber and orange washes with iron work decorations and a bone handle, also over painted the tattoo with a mixture of blue, black and green. With the Falx im going to sharpen the inner edge and then add some milliput to the outer edge to thicken it up and then shape it from there all for now Paul

I love it, Paul. The tattoo is fantastic. Too bad you have to correct the falx, but painting it with the wrong shape would be worse.

Stunning mate!!! ;D Did think about milliput for the back edge of the sword to be honest Paul.............but knowing how small this sword is in real time rather than the way the pic portrays the size it made me realise how much of a challenge it would really be!!!!................best of luck on it bud......i know you`ll pull it off ;D

Hi all Stevem cheers mucka as i said plenty of cider and good eye boggle glasses help Boots cheers mate i love a challenge Boo the romans had to devise new armour parts especially for the legs as the Dacians would sweep the legs and this thing would slice them off easy jackwagon you cant beat the fermented apple, or pear, or berry or anything come to that ;D Just so you know guys i tried to file away the falx but to no avail so ill make a new one, probably just the blade, more to follow Paul

Hi all jackwagon you were right and less time as well Cheers Gary Ok the new blade for the Falx was made from some Ali sheet, cut and filed and then rebated into the handle, so primed the whole arm and then same as the left arm as per the painting I thought i might as well add a tattoo to this arm, so ive just gone with the basic pattern on his shield, apparently they went for face tattoos as well but im not going that far this is the first coat on the tattoo so ill probably just go over it once more Ive also knocked up a base from a piece of Iroko it need another few coats of polish and some baise for the bottom all for now Paul
