That is indeed one huge Tiger. Glad to see you get a start on this behemoth Andy. Lookin' good out of the gate.

Thanks everyone. That's why the 2yr time frame is good,I'll only go so far before I want to do something else,so there's ti.e to put this aside and still get it done.

Glad to hear your appreciation for the time frame Tony, I thought I might have made a mistake by making it so long. Sounds like it will be a good thing. I'm looking forward to playing with my Tiger in the future, enjoy watching yours come together....I'll need a bigger table.

Tojo,
I only noticed now that the box is so deep, it looks like you bought a microwave oven! Great Gaboongas, that Tiger will be BIG. 1/16 is roughly twice the size of 1/35, but the footprint is 2x2=4 times as large! And the volume is 2x2x2=8 times as much! Are you going to get any figures to go with it, like maybe a commander perched atop his cupola? I wonder if Tamiya did a plastic German tank commander for their 1/16 RC tanks? Those figures are not super-great by any means, but they are relatively inexpensive.

G,it come with the commander,we'll see if I get more or add some accessories,or if I could even make the big figure look right.

Classy Hobby has a couple of 1/16 Panzer crew, a commander and a second. Both look really good and preliminary build up well. According to my rivet counting brother the uniforms are Heer and not SS so that limits the marking options....I say if ya don't know , common Joe won't know either.

Jeez, it is way too big now! Everything looks good. Normally I replace all machine guns with metal barrels but in your case it looks real good and I bet it is very strong and solid too.

1/72 next to 1/35 looks tiny..... Imagine 1/72 next to this....
Will be very interested to see what this links looks once finished.
