That's a lot of AM parts there!! Must have cost more than the original kit? Nice haul nonetheless!! ATB Andrew 5$ more than the kit. The first model I got to help my dad with was a HAWK P40, I was 7 or 8 years old. I lost it on the move to Maine in 2015. It is a priceless memory kick. Ouch!!! Shame about losing the kit. I don't have any of the ones from when I was a kid....

My dad saved the P40 and an Aurora Curved Dash Olds. That I still have.

A couple of Atlantis re-pops. Both are old '50s/'60s kits. Both are kits I've been wanting to pick up for some time.

New pickup for a buddy build I’m doing with one of my friends later this year. We will also be building the new Eduard A6M5 Zero when it comes out. I will have one opened and one closed of this dual combo set.

Look forward to seeing how that kit goes together Keith. I've got the Tamiya and HobbyBoss kits in the stash.. so not that I need another Corsair. I'm interested in these Magic Factory kits. Are you going to get the separate engine & display engines? I expect nothing less from you after your latest builds!

These shipped today from HobbySearch and HobbyEasy. Now I’m done for the year! Honest! SK Decals for Ben Keating’s 2020 Le Mans entry. I didn’t want to steal an image from SpotModel since I didn’t buy it from them. Ben

One of the bad things about seeing all of these cool kits is the fact that I would like to have all of these after seeing them on display here (as if my stash were not already spiraling out of control like it is). Looking forward to seeing these on the workbenches.

OK chaps.....so a few more arrivals.... One boring one..... ....two early Christmas arrivals after my daughter told me how much she was spending on me...... ...and one that demonstrates outstanding customer service..... ACW as usual Andrew ------------------------------------- The boring....have recently acquired some AK paints, I needed some thinner..... I had pressed 'buy' on these last weekend after they popped up on eBay for good prices.....that or the next day, my daughter said "Dad, for Christmas I will give you £XXX to spend on whatever (she really emphasised the 'whatever') you want for Christmas.' So whilst I can't have them now, they and some other items I have on pre-order have cost me nothing!! The joys of your kids earning a decent wage!! You may recall from my post last week (link), that following the very sad death of a club member back in 2022, I acquired Hauler's resin 1/72 AEC Mk III armoured car but that it was missing the PE and decals. I took a chance and emailed Hauler last Saturday, asking if I could purchase the PE and decals for a reasonable price. After all I had knowingly bought the kit second had without them. Well yesterday...the PE arrived from Hauler in only 5 days (they're based in the Czech Republic!!!)....and for free!! I'm sure I have some decals I can use somewhere. All credit to Jan at Hauler.

In case you've not seen it I'm doing the Academy XIVc version at the moment. I know it has a lot of issues, including doing the markings as a plane that was actually a XIVe. However, I won it for 50p in a charity raffle and as I've not done many 1/48 planes, it seemed like the perfect practice piece before I crack open the decent 1/48 kits in the stash. That said I wish you hadn't mentioned the Mk 22/24...... You've got me looking for one....😭

I've been ogling the 1/48 Spit in civilian guise but gun shy as I remember Airfix from the 60's and 70's. I'll go bail it out of kit jail tomorrow.

If i remember right they issued the Mk22/24 at the same time as a Seafire XVII Both were a massive leap forward at the time from the usual reissues from the 60s and 70s to brand new mould modern kits and were highly praised. Eduard used the Airfix Mk22/24 as the base kit in their own boxings of the type. Interesting that at the same time to reinforce their return to quality kits they also released a 1/48 English Electric Lightning, hard to find now but one of my favourite builds even now, many years later which i reviewed here in 2007 modelingmadness.com/review/viet/gb/barratlite.htm
