A few more Enterprise parts came today.  I'm waiting for 1 more set of bussard domes. Dilemma: I have 2 old Enterprise's in my stash. A special edition glow in the dark and the old '80s release with the inaccurate raised gridlines on the saucer. Round 2 just released the old kit with raised gridlines removed. It would save a bunch of sanding. |

scored a nice vintage Iwata for $50 from facebook marketplace circa 1983 same as my birthday lol, I just needed to replace the nozzle. all in around $80 for a $400 airbrush lol    |

I struggle with double action - my fault for sure. I keep falling back on my Paasche H and creative masking.

These just came into the office today: I had passed on the J5N Tenrai kit when I saw one at Hobbyland in Osaka, so the opposite of buyer's regret and all that. The PACV was a dream kit ever since I saw the Masterpiece Models resin kit many years ago.   And now for something completely, completely, completely different. I am not into fantasy but if you just add Japanese mecha into the mix, I'm there like white on rice!  The Jashinhei (snake-god warrior) is based on a classic resin kit that Kaiyodo released in the 1990s, but has now been newly made as an injection molded kit! I had wanted to get the resin kit years ago but was never able to find one. Well, I suppose good things come to those who wait, as now it is available in easy to build plastic. Woo-hoo! |
