I really...REALLY want it. The money is only a minor issue...the real issue is the size and place to put it. I hear rumors that they're going to put one out in 1/72, some time next year. I will wait! Maybe by then, someone will come out with a rotor fold!

I had a ton of pics of "Goliath" (Erikson), from when it was at my airport for about 2 weeks. Unfortunately, all those pics are lost to photobucket. This my 2nd favorite chopper...bested by only the SeaKing (We've got 2 based at my airport!)

I had some that I needed back so I re-started my account and retrieved them back way back when but I don't know if one could do that now. The Sea King......now THAT'S a beast of a helicopter right there.

CHI (Construction Helicopters Inc) moved from Willow Run, to our airport 12-15 years ago. They had a couple H-34's (not sure of the civilian designation) w/ turbines. Then a Super Puma (has gone elsewhere)...a Chinook (also elsewhere) and now SeaKings, which are even bigger beasts than the military versions! They've also got a pair of CASA 212's (no pics) The blue/white SeaKing was here to train/transition the pilots for the Kings.

It did get me thinking about how the airframe was transported. Learn something new everyday, thanks

Fermis, have you tried paying for one month on PB and then downloading all your galleries? I did that a couple of years ago. If you pay for a month or two, you have full access...or you did when i did it.

Oh wow! That IS a big model AND it's an ICM which means that it's totally packed with details. I will say that I've never seen one with a bomb before though and that looks like a BIG bomb!! Looking forward to seeing what you do with this one Lyle. Easy there, Scooter. I haven't bought it yet. The wallet is only about half way out of the pocket. There are apparently several versions of the kit. I posted this picture because it was a jpeg...So, the bomb isn't guaranteed. There are several video build logs on Youtube. It is indeed a detailed kit. This would be such a stretch for me and so far out of where I feel I am at this point. ...I only need to convince SWMBO that is is a good idea. The kit and a few extras such as paint mask, Quinta cockpit, etc. brigs the price to well over $200.00, so .... But, I do have a birthday coming up. Go for it Lyle! Ya only live once!!!

Ah that's not much bigger than my 1/12 Gt 40! Of course the rotor is the monkey wrench here. Lyle Let me say this: If its out your wheel house/comfort zone...All the more reason to build one. It will increase your confidence and expand/sharpen your skill set. Not to mention keep the whole modeling enthusiasm/ adventure fresh for you...Enabler? Me?? Nah. I prefer to think of my self as a "Positive influencer" LOL

Yeah, I found it months later. There are dozens of tweezer sized things. Those w.Rory me. But, I am really excited to build this! Going to be slow, steady and lots of small bags.
