This thing is huge in 1/35. I could possibly swing the room (stop it Bob). I know they are releasing it with the whole medical bay/trailer (Bob, stop! Anne will skin you alive!) Price is a bit of a crush though (Tool box in the garage has the extra stash Bob!....STOP IT!) There will be a 1/72 scale version this year (Too small Bob, Need the big one)
Oh man...I'm in trouble!

Not one.

Dammit Lyle And, if you consider that it is really several kits in one . . . actually two boxes of parts. The cockpit is one, the rotor head is one, the engines are one...and son on. Just trying to be helpful. Did i mention it was on sale? Really not a bad price I guess. If you don't need it yesterday. www.ebay.com/itm/145185925810

CH-54 is a handful in 1/72, in 1/35 the rotor disc is just over 2 feet in diameter... Ceiling fan is right. Anyone that takes one of these on, or even the smaller 1/72 I have lots of detail photos from firefighting conversions. Those engines being front and center in the open scream for added detailing.

Yeah.......I'll be watching for your thread on one of these bud. Sorry about the pics being lost to PB. I had some that I needed back so I re-started my account and retrieved them back way back when but I don't know if one could do that now. The Sea King......now THAT'S a beast of a helicopter right there. I will be holding out for the 1/72 (hopefully that rotor fold will be scaled down as well!)...so it'll be a little while. CHI (Construction Helicopters Inc) moved from Willow Run, to our airport 12-15 years ago. They had a couple H-34's (not sure of the civilian designation) w/ turbines. Then a Super Puma (has gone elsewhere)...a Chinook (also elsewhere) and now SeaKings, which are even bigger beasts than the military versions! They've also got a pair of CASA 212's (no pics) The blue/white SeaKing was here to train/transition the pilots for the Kings. The H-34s with turbine conversions are S-58T in civilianese. Love these things and to satisfy your S61 fetish

So Lyle has it shipped yet? Are you tracking it? No, not yet. It shows a label being created and that is it. The masks for the clar parts and the Qinta decals ahve arrived and I've ordered the metal landing gear. Getting antsy.
