Hopefully this comes through alright. Always tricky dealing with white balance/etc. No editing done. Top is both of the Tamiya rattlecan options, middle is straight acrylic OD, then with 20% XF-57 Buff mixed in, then 25% buff. I swear I had a 33% spoon (2:1 ratio), but I can't find it. I haven't had time to fire LP-28 onto a spoon yet for comparison. oh yeah! I forgot about my spare rattle cans. I think I bought a can of Tamiya OD of one shade or another for that Sherman I’ve never built. Think I bought that stuff around 2017 or so. 🤦🏻♂️😂. Thanks for posting this.

If you guys bring pizza and beer, then all the strap hangars who normally don’t show up will come out of the woodwork…

Sorry I am late but I am bringing the beer keg since I figured you guys would be out by now! Looking good so far... Thank you Andy! We are in need of a refill so the beer keg will be welcome! Sorry I am late but I am bringing the beer keg since I figured you guys would be out by now! Looking good so far... Good deal, Andy. Put that right next to the pizza, Youza Bby! Pizza and beer! We’re well equipped now. If you guys bring pizza and beer, then all the strap hangars who normally don’t show up will come out of the woodwork… No doubt. We’re going to need extra pizza and beer around here. Also on the Jeep front I used my old Tamiya rattle can to do most of the body and will now use some different shades for different things. I’ll get some more photos up soon

So when somebody says "everything is the same colour" they are mistaken. Now of course field applied paint is a different matter but nobody has ever been able to show me a picture of a Jeep with the outline of a shovel painted on the side! Anybody who says that clearly hasn't done much looking. It has been fairly well established that there were significant color differences between factories, and even batches / date of manufacture. Mass production of equipment for the war underwent continual changes, as improvements were adopted into designs, and manufacturing methods were adjusted to increase output. This is something I enjoy about military subjects, there can be a great deal of alteration between one "identical" individual item and another based on when, where and how it was made / used.

Took a leaf out of Carlos’s ( stikpusher )book and went ahead and drilled out the “feet” of the stretcher. I’ll have more photos of the Jeep soon as well as some other updates. Had some bench time this weekend. Oh yeah. She’s up on wheels with a driveline now too.

Someday when I get around to building the diorama base for mine I am going to cut those legs right off and replace with wire or left over photoetch framing material. The more I see them the more they bug me since they are not even basically the right shape.

Which I believe puts the opened up kit part more in the ballpark shape wise. But wire or something would be a nice upgrade I think. Nice progress on this Kyle! Thank you! Drill bits and all! Amazon special. I can probably find it in my old orders. It was cheap enough and as I’ve broken them I’ve replaced them in here as needed. Thanks Lyle!
