The Italeri Jeep is ancient but it actually holds up pretty well by today's standards. Not much wrong with it and it builds up pretty well. The ambulance is a neat version. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.

It is a nice kit, I built one years ago. The area that could use the most work are the stretchers. The legs of the open stretchers are very chunky. Other than that it is a nice kit from what I recall. I've always wanted to do a companion Dodge ambulance.

Bookmarked! You'll be fine it has four wheels Kind of what I figured. Good way to dip my toes into 1/35. It's all familiar but also not. Thank you, I hope to do it some sort of justice. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it. I've heard pretty good things about the kit and I didn't pay much for it so I think it'll be a fun little build. I did the commando car version ages ago. Fun little kit I saw the commando car version for cheap shortly after I picked this one up. Looks like a fun version too. That is a great little kit and you will be absolutely fine doing it perfectly. Just two things to remember...
NOTHING should be shiny.
If you think it is dull enough hit it again because it is still too shiny!

I missed that when I built mine. Someday I am going to remove those peg legs and replace with bent wire like the box art shows. modelerssocialclub.proboards.com/thread/15694/italeri-jeep-ambulance

If you think it is dull enough hit it again because it is still too shiny! No worries there. I’ll approach it like I do my airplanes. Paint, probably future coat for decals and then hammer it with the flat coat. Except even more flat than normal probably. Yours was very nice. I enjoyed it and that was one reason I grabbed this when I saw it.

I drilled out the stretcher supports on mine with my pin vise and finish the work with a needle file.

What a great looking kit with plenty of detail Kyle. I had the Italeri 1/24 Jeep 1/4 ton kit in the stash and that thing was LOADED with detail!!! After seeing this thread started I would love to have it back. Will be watching this beauty in the making.

I have the same kit in the stash. I'll be following along with your build. Pretty sure this is one of those kits that so many people have in their stash or have built that you can't claim to be a military modeler unless you have at least one.

The commando car version and the Sherman toon tank are the only two pieces of 'armor' I have in my built collection
