I've heard good things about this kit. I'll be following this massive bird as you build it Lyle

I've heard good things about this kit. I'll be following this massive bird as you build it Lyle It is a bit of a way off...maybe. I've gotten into the habit of buying something and then immediately starting it. I need to finish up a few first. Very cool Lyle - just an FYI you have your scale wrong in the title. Thanks, John. it was that damn auto-complete. Corrected.

Damn that's a lot of plastic. Soooo many opportunities here! Limitless! but, yeah, a lot. I’m looking for a ziplock bag big enough to hold me and the bench when I start this. It will my biggest adventure yet, I think.

Joe and John, thanks.
John, order two recliners. I feel a case of the vapors coming on.
Buffon, tcoat … oh c’mon. It’s only a house payment!

Well, since it'll be on my wishlist, I'll join everyone here and watch this unfold. The one I got was free shipping, and about 10$ off their listed price. Not bad all in all. They show one left…they have jacked up the price by $40 USD…wow.

Scanning the instruction booklet, which will take a bit. I finally got the HP Smart software to work (again) with the HP printer .....I like this software as it lets you build multipage documents. I can scan the entire booklet, then save it as a PDF and then, re-save it as individual pages. TJ had asked for a comparison photo on the size of this girl. Here is one set (there are three) of rotor blades next to the M-113. Both in 1/35 scale.

just made an interesting discovery. Not a biggie, but....
The kit I received is 53054 - without the Daisy Cutter bomb - the kit in the listing is 53055 with those parts. Damn, buess I can't nuke the frogs in the pond.

Thats not a M113, the front of the hull is wrong... might be a M114... Wrong direction in the time line. It is an M-59 so a predecessor of the 113. It is the same size as a 113 though at the point was to show scale. Strangely enough I could not find a picture with an actual M-113 although they probably lifted them far more often than a 59!
