Madhatter's (Simon) 1/700 Richelieu in WOW Camo

For the past few years I've seen Simon (madhatter) building his ongoing Star Wars Star Destroyer two other forums and his attention to detail is just flooring as I don't think this fella leaves anything out of a model.  What I didn't know was that he built ships as well. His Richelieu build shown here is a fine example of the skills and determination he possesses as a modeler. Sporting a World of Warships camo scheme, this battleship is yet another example of the lengths that Simon will go to in building a first-class model. Beautiful work on this beauty of a small-scale ship and we're glad that you're here bud.

I love these WoW schemes. They offer up a world of choices just not seen when doing the "real" thing. Don't think I could pull this off though as I would last about 10 minutes into that masking job and real scheme it would be.

Can't belive this isn't bigger than 1/700! Very good detail! A friend of mine always tried to get me to play WoW, I didn't know it had ships in it, I thought it was just Warcraft but in MMO format

mate - there's so many choices, it'll be hard to pick just one. Ask me how I know.....

I had the Bismarck (and Alaska) at the Melbourne Expo this weekend (in my club display) and apparently, it drew a LOT of interest - mostly because no one paints their ships in fantasy colours - preferring "real" to imaginary.

My son is busting my nuts to build the Haruna next, and seeing a very small selection of ships at Expo, I may just accommodate him on this occasion. Anyone interested in a WIP of that?

Yes please.  I would love to see your masking process for these.

OK done. My son and I are struggling to decide what the final scheme should be. The one he really likes is the "Kong" camo which is 4 colours and would be a total nightmare to mask, so that one is off the table.
I'll start a new thread shortly and we can discuss it there
