Just sitting here waiting for dinner - Don't worry, The missus & I cook equally most of the time - except when I BBQ... That can be epic at times ...
I grew up pre-internet. Back then, you had a phone screwed to the wall - no idea of who's calling, just answer it ...
I can remember where I was when I heard Elvis died
You would ride your bicycle to your mate's place - the mother would make sandwiches. You would be respectful & say thank you Mrs. (insert name here.)
These days, social media - (which I try to avoid most of the time ...) seems to focus on knocking the good guy down... being disrespectful - keyboard warrior, I believe is the term... It's no good, and I feel sorry for the kids that have to live through it.
Here at MSC - things seems calm, nice - no stress.
I like that
Thanks,

I was on leave in Frankfurt just a few miles from where Elvis was stationed in Germany when he died. They all but shut down the whole city!

I remember those pre-internet days as well with the phone either fastened to a wall or a tabletop phone and those were indeed the days. Social media platforms make it all too easy to only associate with people in "our bubble" and make everyone else in the world an "outsider" which makes it all too easy to for folks to "pop off" at one another in a disrespectful way. Here at MSC we really try to make this place warm and inviting by encouraging one another and giving it a "family" atmosphere. It's certainly good to have you here with us Quinny.

Should we start with something irrelevant / random ?
Here's my beehive ... Tetragonula Carbonaria to bee precise (see what I did there )
Interesting little critters. Australian native sting-less bees. I have them primarily as pollination providers for the garden. You may notice there's two halves to the hive, you can have three - and that will allow you to harvest the honey they store... I prefer to leave them alone as that is their food supply for winter. Little buggers don't like the cold - they wont come out of the hive until the temperature passes 18 C (64 F)... Cool little guys There would be about 10K bees in this hive ...
Anyhoos - what's in the box, I hear you ask
It's a busy kit - 541 parts (Not including the ResKit bit)
The quality & detail seems quite good (what do I know )
Here's the colour (yes, that is correct spelling) scheme we're going for:
Just finding the parts is hard work
Ok - let's get into it
Lots of little parts
That's upside down ...
Thanks for stopping in for a looksie
Take a Long Line

Language warning ...
This is just down the road a little from the aviation museum at Evens Head ... (https://www.airforce.gov.au/about-us/bases/evans-head-air-weapons-range)
The story goes ... (not sure if it's true) the pilot flying is Canadian AF on an exchange program - apparently the local boys did a g-up to get him to do a low pass.
Got himself sent home the next day

Just a little update for the afternoon...
Managed to get a bit of work on the landing gear bays:
They'll be painted white & weathered accordingly etc.

Great stuff, cool video. Looked a little faster then those bees! We’ve got an F-111A here at a local museum. It’s the one Arnie Franklin flew into Libya in the Eldorado Canyon raid. Got to meet him! Thought about building this a time or two so will follow along and get your thoughts on the kit 👍

Time for paint. (Ask me questions, get no answers...)
Was grey plastic ...
Now X2 Tamia Gloss white:
Getting into the wings now - very exciting
Message in a bottle ?
Wouldn't it be funny if someone found this in landfill in a hundred years ...
If you're from the future & find this old model plane ... drop a comment for the new members here.
Let us know how & where you found it
Thanks for dropping back in to the future.

It’s in Bowling Green KY at the Aviation Heritage Museum! They look beautiful with the wings swept back ...
I'm going to do my model with the wings forward ... slats & flaps extended.
It's a bit sad to see the old girls sitting there on the ground ...

Been there done that. My daughter moved to her first apartment in late 2018 in Connecticut. In the middle of 2019 she followed us to Florida, so I flew up and drove down with her. In June of 2020 she bought a house. Helped her then too. Now she has her house up for sale again. Its a never ending saga.

Hi Everyone - geeze it's nice to be back ... moving house was epic & we're happy the youngster is out of that place.
... after that both the missus & I caught a hefty dose of the flu - so that knocked us out for a while ...
Finally got back to the bench for a few hours this afternoon.
Anyways - seems I'm having some issues with the image website - so I'll crack on with this tomorrow ...
