Testing which finish I wanna use. All different shades of Alclad:

Any guess as to why this Alclad Aluminum is looking grainy? I’ve used Alclad for years and never had this issue.

I had this happen with their chrome when I was very low on the bottle. I assume it was the flake being in a higher than optimum ratio when nearing the end of the bottle. Got a new bottle and didn't see it again.

All my bottles are relatively full haha.
luckily I figured it out. I think I was spraying too far away 




from left to right:

Polished aluminum
Aircraft aluminum
White aluminum
Aluminum
Duraluminum
Dark aluminum

Choices choices.... The aircraft aluminum looks great unless you are planning a weathered "in theater" aircraft

P-51(1)- I decided to paint the floors in this one to mimick wood. Plenty of P-51 had this wooden floor, and or rubber/metal.

Keith I know you have the D-30 kit. Just remember BAB II did not use the dorsal fillet. I bought the D-25 MiniArt kit to do the same markings. Haven't started yet of course.

Thanks for pointing that out. Now can you explain what a Doraal fillet is LOL. Sorry I know I should know.

The extension on the spine in front of the tail.  Late model Bubbletop Thunderbolts had them for better directional stability

P-51 engine underway. The wiring is quite elaborate as you can see. Roughly 1/3 the way through building it before paint.
