Great job! The Chevy looks good back there. That’s going to be a really cool looking eagle. Nice update

Thanks guys. These kits are a bit like Hellers, the parts are there, where they fit is kind of arbitrary. So waiting for the clear coat to dry on the Indy cars, I put the front end on the F5000. Not fun, too many broken pieces, but the nose cone covers a lot.
I've given the seats a clear coat plus a wash from my MIG Ammo supplies, just a slight dirty look.

A new twist on ignition wires. Since they are barely seen, I experimented with some ultra thin styrene rod bent to shape and glued together.
Cut to fit afterwards and painted. Works OK for some applications.

Good stuff Paul!! F5000 looks great from my angle. And I like your idea for the wires for sure.

I got some decalling done and started assembling.
I might have these finished by the time EBay gets around to delivering kit #4.

Wonderful!! I really do love how that F5000 looks. But any Eagle is a good one. Decals set them off nicely. Great work on all of these Paul.

Not feeling too great so spent some time building models. It's therapeutic.
They'd be really pretty cars without all those sponsor decals

Excellent Paul!! These are moving along quickly and they look great. Did your 4th kit make its arrival yet? Too many sponsors sure, but still a really nice looking car.

Excellent Paul!! These are moving along quickly and they look great. Did your 4th kit make its arrival yet? Too many sponsors sure, but still a really nice looking car. Nope, still waiting. E Bay has excelled itself by totally screwing up their shipping, it now costs more, takes twice as long as USPS, and gives DHL the opportunity to try to scam an extra $15.00 for "prepaid customs fees", which if you refuse (there aren't any) to pay, adds a few more days .
I've got to the point where I rarely buy anything from a US seller, the shipping has become absurd. Other than Indycals, Michael charges me $2.00 to mail me decals. I love the guy!

Man. What a freaking bummer. I agree about Michael. If he has the decals for my project I buy them there. I know how to work with them and mostly prefer them and shipping is as cheap as it gets.

It just arrived. $32.00 shipping and 3 1/2 weeks to get here, from Missouri. Pony Express would have been faster.
I ordered a Meng McLaren direct from China, shipping was free (included in price), and I had it in 5 days. This makes no sense at all.

Well I think it’s a good choice. I have a few dark blue eagles to build and always struggle with what color to build them myself. One of those colors that seems different with every account. I love dark blue too Kyle. Gravity of Spain has the exact color Blue for the AAR Eagles. I've got one Eagle still in shrink wrap for a few years and bought the paint from Gravity in one of my bulk binge purchases. joel

Paul, I'm trying to catch up on all of the started Open Wheel GB builds little by little as I only joined a few days ago. Of course I jump on builds by modeling friends 1st. When I saw that you were going for 4 AAR Eagles at the same time, I just had to read the entire thread to your current point. And I wasn't disappointed to say the least. All three builds are extremely well done, with #42 crossing the finish line.
After watching F1, Indy Cars, and some Nascar for years, I've gotten so use to sponsor decals and color changes that the #42 still carries the AAR colors still clearly shows the Eagle heritage.

This one remains one of my favorite roadster builds I have ever looked at Paul. It turned out so nice. Thank you Kyle. I said I'd probably never build another, and then I got a box of bits that has 2 roadster bodies, so I just had to buy another kit, so I can clone the missing bits...................you know that song.
Same box had an Eagle in it, and now I have 4 of them....

Long way down the road, man.

You know when you get a build to the point where you just have to finish it? Well, I finished one of them. Denny's 4th place car, chassis 405.
There's a light coat of pearl clear just to give it some sparkle.
