Thanks very much Gary and Wouts .............yeah i`m 99% done on the PAGB build so i decided to give this a whirl, i`ll be flitting back and forth on this whilst finishing the Taxi and hopefully starting the 57 chevy for the race car GB

Well got a little bit done on this today while i had the AB for the PAGB finish..............good and unfortunately bad!!!!!!!!!!!!

The root for the tailfin was masked up and the continuing strippage was carried over on to it, this turned out ok IMHO...........





Started on some of the many, many decs............









And then this happened..................the two decs on the wings got into a tussle with the masking tape when i masked orfe the tail fin root, i masked tight with the Tam tape and then used some bigger stuff to protect from overspray on the wings...................the tape got pushed onto the decs by accident and subsequently pulled them off on removal.................don`t know what to do now!!!!!!!!!!!!!! , kinda p****d me orfe now coz there ain`t no others!!!!



Gonna have to see if i can source some decs from somewhere i `spose

Boots,that's a real bummer,after all the effort you've put in to this beaut!!! ....Is it possible you could make a stencil out of the Tammy paper,and AB the logos?

Had thought of that idea Dicky and Chris and maybe i can revisit this once the disappointment has subsided...........i`m almost certain that one of the guys at the beginning of the thread had a spare set for this kit and he did say if i need any spare decs to let him know!!...............gonna check it out after me barth ..........

WOW! Love those decals... so many and they do make huge differences. Agree with guys... masking tapes should do the trick if you can't get a replacement as long as you spray clear to cover the original decals.

Hiya Boots, just been catching up on yer build, she looks superb matey  I agree with the guys, dont let the small mishap put you off I'm sure you can pull it back on track.  Give it a clear coat to seal what's left, mask 'em and paint 'em buddy

That sucks! True...but even if you have to mask and paint you got this one in the bag my friend! She is a beauty of a build and would hate to see this shelved for a road bump in the progress!! Shoot Dupes a PM too...dude has 8000 aircraft going at any given point...might have a set, you never know! Hang in the bud, you will get it sorted!!
