Chris, Agreed that taking detail to this level where the resources can be put to better use for details that will be, or can be seen on the finished model.

Wow! Looks like you’d be able to crank it up and run it once it’s finished.

Chris, this is all looking amazing! They really pack the details in those kits! Does the motor spin? The pistons/ rods look like real racing motor parts. You are right, a waste not being able to see. I have a Pocher 1:8 Alfa Romeo Spyder that assembles like that, but it spins, and head is easily moved to side to see.

It does spin, not very well… the crank shaft is in 5 parts and if you apply too much torque it will probably break. Does the Pocher kit have a similar design?

I forget how many pieces the crank was in, as I was a kid the first time I got this kit( sold partially assembled). It did have the engine crank as a metal tube that ran through bottom of radiator(1932 car), spun easily. I have yet to open the kit this time.

Chris, The engine looks great in it's basic Black, but that Clutch pack must have been a mini kit in its own right.

I'll looking for the electrical leads and engine oil on this one so you can fire it up to make sure it's gonna run okay before you put it into the chassis Chris. You'll have to make sure that you put a muffled exhaust on it so you don't scare anyone in your house when it does start up. Pure perfection there guy.

Chris, I'm with Greg on the seat belts & harness. Love how the shoulder pads are separate or made to look that way.
As for the floor pan, those metal heat shields with the rivets look outstanding.

Well, I’m sorry to inform everyone, I will be putting this aside for a wile… some parts are not lining up the way they are ment. As this is part of assembling these kits as of right now it’s not going my way🤬

Chris, I was just going to post that the two radiator assemblies look like finished detailed models. But the last post that you're going to be putting down the Big Lotus as there's a major parts fit issue is just something that you never have done before, so it must really be a major deal. Is MFH aware of this from your end, and will they be supplying corrected parts, or have to 1st design and mold them?

Chris,
Been there, I'm sure we all have. Sometimes after a break we can find a way forward, and I hope that is the case for you here.
I'm sure we all know how frustrating this is, sorry.

Been down that road a time or two Chris( chrissmith). I'm hoping that taking a small break in place will be just what the doctor ordered concerning your mindset when you return to this great project. It's worked like that for me in the past when I've stepped away from projects similar to this and then came back to them a little later. Things just seem to fall in place after that. Looking forward to your return here bud.
