As a result of what I thought was some 'Lighthearted Banter',in the CR last week,I promised a certain Crowther bro(Not Jaymes),that I would do a WIP on this big beasty... ....There is a condition attached though,he has to do the same with an Academy MiG 29 Fulcrum, that was despatched to him at the weekend...... This is what I'm gonna crack open, partly for Steve(WigWagWorkshop),because I got it for him in the first place, but the post was way to prohibitive.. So...coming soon,to a hangar near you....

Oh yes, nice one Chris You planning a house extension then ;D , I remember seeing this in Scale Models magazine in the 80's and thinking you'd have to be mad... I then went out and bought their B52 ;D BTW they did a conversation feature with an F84 FICON traipse , I've got it if you really want to apply for the funny farm ;D ;D ;D

Hey CB, I'm in on this one mate!!!
I live about an hour away from the US Air Force museum in Dayton Ohio. They have a real one inside the building. Its so huge, that they had to move the plane inside before they finished constructing the building!!
They also have the museum partitioned off into time frames. so while your looking at WWI planes, you look up and see part of a wing on the B 36. I'm amazed at the shear size of this beast!

I remember having this kit! It is so stunning! never built the bugger though, sold it onto somone else whose probably never built it! The biggest problem is indeed the space you need and that dreaded silver paint! I remember the articles in Scale Model magazine when this beastie came out! Said that the B36 was as exciting as a 36B!!! Bring it on Chris!!! Grahame

This was Monogram at their peak in the early 80`s. I seem to recall that the fit wasn`t bad for it`s tme either. The wings just slot into place, so you can take them off for storage. Modellers who have attempted this baby tend to make it as 3 models. Fuselage and wings.
And of course Jimmy Stewart flew these before going home for apple pie with June Allison in "Strategic Air Command"!
