Hi friends, The Opel Admiral is finished and now it's time to start building this >:(terror kit. Why I call it a terror ? Bad molding, no wood structure at all, soft detail, name it... It will do for the diorama "The Rusty Admiral." Before painting I have to rework things...such as creating wood structures, filling gaps, holes... It's going to be an old chart loaded with straw bales. Her's the "Sucker Kit of the Century" : And it's not really a rust bucket but I didn't know where to post it. Tomorrow a first update. Best regards ! AG

Luigi, Steven, thanks. After degreasing a layer of black was applied. I then sprayed on a wood color mix. Planks were then masked and given their own tones. Much more to do, that's for the coming weekend ! Have a nice one btw. Best regards !

Looking good Guy. The wood grain will pop when the weathering starts.

Thanks Rob, I will go for an overall lighter tone before I start washing and splashing. The wood grain structure is now not that visible but washes will make them appear again.

My o my...the cart was replaced my friends, it wasn't 1/35 as the kit mentioned, but more like 1/30 So what did I do last weekend ? I've scratched the same type of cart, but in scale this time. The wheels were recuperated as they have the same proportions as a 1:35 Dodge truck wheel, good enough for this one I believe. Tell me, what do you think guys ? Thanks in advance ! AG

Thanks for the positive response friends ! Luigi, sorry man, I checked this tread after I built the wheelbarrow. Now I will finish my cart but later I will build another wheelbarrow and make an SBS of it. I've discovered a very nice model. This is it : Here we go carting again ! A first black coat :

When the black was hardened I applied a wood tone for old dry wood. I then gave it a heavy wash with Raw umber oil paint, and removed it again. Best reg's, AG.
