Hi guys, Now I'm getting a lot more involved with my club (Leicester Modellers) I thought I'd give an update. The meetings are held in Wigston near Leicester at Alan's house - he's the main man and always comes in very handy with his stash of Tamiya Liquid Cement which he passes on at a very sensible price. I love the stuff and as you know - in the UK it's harder to get than a Dragon's egg Omelette! I live in Rugby near between junctions 17 & 18 of the M1 We are always open to new members and if any anyone wants to pop along for one night to see if they like it you are more than welcome. Below is a link to the club meetings page and this is the page with photos from our last January meeting. We meet on the second Saturday of every month so had our January meeting last Saturday. Alan asked us to bring our last COMPLETED project and current wip - if we had one! leicestermodellers.weebly.com/12th-january-2013.htmlYou'll see my completed Tiger I Ausf E and my wip Elefant amongst the photos. We aren't all WWII modellers - a lot of the guys dabble in Sci-Fi stuff too. I'm hoping that we can get a few more WWII German Armour fans involved so to if any of you Midlands based Brit Modellers on here are interested please give me a shout or drop me a pm! Btw - in the main photo at the top I'm the foreground wearing the stripey top - I had my specs on that night as opposed to my contacts!Ben

Cheers guys, They are a great bunch and it's so informal. Everyone is different when it comes to modelling and we all know how everyone builds, who's a rivet counter and who's king of the cammo scheme! I'd like to think that I'm our current club king of German AFV's (mainly seeing that I'm the only through-and-through WWII German modeller). Most of the guys like their wingy things and WWII Allied and Vietnam armour. My buddy John who introduced me to the group builds stunning 1/72 stuff (she the link photos). The She-Predator thingy and the Star-Wars droid were built by a chap visiting for the first time - his name escapes me but will be on his photos. He signed up at the end of the night and is obviously going to bring a lot of 'different' angles to our show tables! The other build he bought was a 1/48 wip Stuka with the best pre-shade jobs I've ever seen! A man of many tastes and talents! ;D Imo everyone needs to be part of a small group like this. We are an offshoot of 'MAFVA' which is pretty big in the UK. It makes things a lot easier. Looking forward to the next show - now we are getting bigger we've got a big table reserved and, as this show is very local to us all, it's going to have a good old spread! The Tamiya Glue thing is a BIG Godsend - I love working with that stuff and don't know what I'd do without it! Ben
