1/16 S&T German figure ,winter

Been working on this guy again and it is a lot of fun and got my mojo going again.I will post up some pics later.

Here is this so far I have made a base for the chap a damp winters morning somewhere on the eastern front close to the battle of Kharkov.He is sitting on a fallen tree taking a well earn t rest. I still have a way to go








I have added some moss here which is quite hard to replicate in scale,less is more . Also added some thawing snow.

Thanks for looking in guys I have done the fence and weathered it with chipping and wood ageing treatment.Done his worn and scuffed boots.Added colour to some strapping with worn look to edges along with further shading and highlighting to both parker and trousers.I have added another type of ivy to the fence and painted up his grenade and painted up the log some more along with a few other tweaks here and there. Still have his equipment and riffle to do and more tweaking.

Cheers jackwagon ,nice comments boss. Chris came up with one idea with the chap reading a letter from home and having a photo of his girlfriend in the other hand, Title like "Letter from home".I like the idea, maybe work on another title on that.I do like chris,s title though.

Nice one matey I love the title.I checked the translate for dear John on google and it translates Dear John. Leibe means love.I have been told a minute ago because Tina,s mum is here and she was born in Germany and speaks some German.Love the title though and i wont include the photo now as she would not send him a picture if she was spending him a dear John letter unless she was a bitch. (good possibility if you get me drift)

I believe that should be 'Liebe',not 'Leibe'?...ie 'Meine Liebe Johannes'....I daresay one of our German members can clear this up

Just checked it out again Chris from German to English and Liebe Johannes does mean Dear John so jackwagon was correct and i will call it Liebe Johannes and in brackets underneath Dear John.

We do need someone German that can verify this as it changes on translation on google.

unless my german is rustier than Dicks it should be "Lieber Johannes" not leibe, mainly because its a personal letter and its for a bloke, leibe is for a woman I.E. "leibe Karen"
