Hi everyone, I wasn't sure if I should start a thread for each of my builds or just one big one? So for the moment I'll go with one big one if that's ok? These are the builds I'm working on to keep myself from going stir crazy while still on crutches. First up are the M1A1 Gulf War and a M60. I just waiting for the paint to arrive.




The M60 is the IDF kit from Academy but it comes with all the parts (except the tracks)to a US one. Tracks are ordered.


Next is Dragons neubeu 3.5. The kit went together almost flawlessly, other than a small gap in the rear, all in all great fit!

Here is a Dragon DAK PZ iii wip started this awhile back and finially got paint on her. the color is grunbraun from lifecolor.





Here are the beginnings of a Dragon Nashorn.

Thanks guy's! I put coat of anthercite grey on the neu, not sure I like it. Too dark compared to photo's I've looked at. Going to hit the tracks today and do so weathering on PZ's Will try and get some pics on later. Oh and thanks to Chriss67 after looking at his half track I'm itching to finish one of mine! ;D

Dicky the M1 is a Tamiya kit, it went together in 2 hours! You gotta to love shake and bake!

Hey guy's, only a couple from the production line. The PZ III was chipped with vallejo german camo blackbrown and a piece of foam from a roller. The tracks are going to get a couple of coats of africa dust and some rust to tone down the shine! Should get to gloss coat and more weathering today. Here she is!






I used signalbraun for the camo on the neu, but er I don't like it, to much of a contrast. Think I'll try german tank brown, not sure yet. Let me know you all think. The pics!

Making good progress! I agree with your assessment on the signalbraun...too light of a color for the early wary two-tone scheme. That brown was more of a chocolate brown so your tank brown will probably be more in line with the panzer gray in terms of tonal contrast.

Thanks Bill! I did a double check of my paint and found some dunklebraun, looks much better. Will try and post pics later.

The camo is ok. It will change after some weathering. Keep at it dude, it does look very cool.

PZ III update! Started the weathering using AK streaking grime and africa dust. Unlike the PZ IV the dust will show up quite well and I'm not sure I want spray the enamels. Think I'll hand brush it instead. Being one of two first time desert weathered tanks, tips and suggestions are most welcome! Here's she is.

Coming along nicely! As for weathering tips, the desert is a dusty place so use of light tone colors to replicate that layer of fine dust and sun-bleached fading would be the way I'd recommend heading in.

Easy there Dicky I'll have the M1 and the M60 done soon! I had to wait for paint for M1 and tracks for the M60! I may be a tease but I aim to please!

Hey guys got one done, one half done, and one a quarter done! I use the thinned buff on the PZ III and then followed with some AK desert, then a flat coat and done!





The Neu had signal brown on it and it looked nasty, so after opening my eyes a little I found dunkle brown and I think it looks alot better!




And here's the M60 for Dicky! Now stop whining! ;D

That little Pz III,looks well good Pete,and the Neubau don't look too shoddy either ;D ;D.
Re the M1 and the M60,...in yer own time bud!! don't feel the 'pressure' from Dicky,will ya? ;D
